2nd Prenancy vs. 1st

this is my second, my son will be 3 tomorrow. his pregnancy was so easy. i had braxtin hicks 2 month prior, and morning sickness all day and all pregnancy. nothing else though, no pain,no sitting on nrerves, i miss that pregnancy. this time around i am having a girl (yay!), the morning sickness and braxtin hicks r the same, contractions worse though, way worse. plus she has sat on my siatica nerv (very painfull) and my back is killing me. plus i am alot bigger (and widder) this time. plus i cant sleep, with a toddler i am so tired! lol glad to know others are dealing with the same thing!

This is my second pregnancy and it is completely different than my first!. My first was a breeze. I was nauseous only once or twice and that was my only problem-besides the fact of acne and horrible hair-it even fell out. I did have her at 37 weeks. But she was healthy and fine.

With this pregnancy, I was sick the entire first three months all day long. I still get nauseous in the am. I am high risk and have to give myself injections two times a day. Although I have beautifu hair this time!! I am on restricted time on my feet no more than three hours, and I can not lift anything. And he moves and kicks ALL the time, I don't remember my daughter doing that.

This is my second and it is way different. With my daughter was was sick and had spotting for the first 3 months. This time I was sick 4 and a half months, have been sick multiple times, been exposed to every thing in the book (thanks to my 2 year old), and am suffering from extreme acid reflux. This one is a boy. I have always wanted 4 kids but right now am not sure I can do this again. I just want the end of Jan to arrive and to be done with this pregnancy.

This is my 2nd and boy oh boy is it completely different. I have been so completely sick...........horrible headaches and blood pressure issues. Leg cramps, wow thats a whole new story............its horrible doesnt matter how much water i drink or if my husband rubs my legs or not i am always dying!!!!!!!!!

This is my 2nd. First was a boy. Was sick but not half as bad. Craved Chinese, sea food, meats, I even once did pickles and ice cream :(. This one is a girl. Super sick, so much so was dehydrated and lost 15 lbs. Couldn't eat meats much during the 1st Trimester, or veggies. Now, I can eat meat but really love veggies!!! Weirdest craving was pizza with chocolate sauce.

This is my 3rd. My first was a boy and I was hardly sick at all, and wanted to eat fresh fruits and good things like that. My second was completely different. I wanted to eat fast food all the time, and I was sick the whole pregnancy. I was also wearing maternity clothes by 7 weeks. So I thought, "maybe it's a girl." Nope, another boy. THIS time, I was really only sick for the first trimester, but if I forget to brush my teeth in the morning, I feel sick again (weird). So I thought, maybe THIS one is a girl. Nope, another boy. Just goes to show that no 2 pregnancies are alike!

My first is 4 years old so I can't remember all the details from last time. My main problem this time seems to be dealing with fatigue and hormone stress whilst dealing with a very active toddler.

My first Daughter i was sick all the time but with my 2nd one no sickness no nothing the only way i knew i was pregnant other than the pregnancy test was no monthly .

I am a 2nd timer too...with my first I felt wonderful! None of the typical morning sickness, a lil tired but thats about it. This one...HOLY COW! Sick from the moment that test said positive! Heachaches, crampy, backache, you name it its plagued me. They say the pregnancy could be different cuz they are different sexes..not the case here...2nd is a boy too! Kinda showing at this point...which with the 1st I was like 6 months before you could tell.

Ok, well this is my 2nd an its goin like my first only prob I ever had was lowr back ache an my butt kept lockin up on me. My first was born in Feb. so my LO is only almost 7mths an im 19wks preg. not planned Im only 21 bout to be 22 next mth in Sept. but this new baby is due in Jan. so my LO now will only be almost a yr. but Im showing alot shooner with this one and im not as hungry either.

Yes, there are definitely differences .... with my first I only experienced nauseaness after my hot shower in the morning. This time, I felt nauseus in waves throughout the day (6-13weeks) and so tired. At 130pm each day, Iike clockwork, I would have a 1-1.5hr nap. Also, though my food cravings are the same, my dislikes are different. The first time round I went off seafood, alcohol & coffee (not such a bad thing!) and the smell of cooking eggs or red meat. I don't have that this time.

With my first I had morning sickness at 7 weeks and this seems to be the same this time except harder to cope with as I have a 16month old to get up to in the morning and feed (sick making) Cravings are alot different, what I craved with my daughter is what makes me sick this time round. I am taking Zofran worth every penny. This time my breast didn't hurt at all either, I like that bit.

With my first, I had every pregnancy symptom in the book. This time around, NOTHING! Other than the missed period! I wish everyone could have a pregnancy like this. Morning sickness is no joke!

this is also my 2nd one. i got morning sickness a lot sooner with this one than i did with my first. my first one was a boy who weighed 9lbs 15oz 21in long he just turned 16 months today

Hi, this is my third one.. now the first wasnt bad. but the second was a mess.. i couldnt keep anything down, so that meant i couldnt gain any weight. i was so mad because i couldnt enjoy any good food at all. but here comes the new baby and at the begining it had terrible heartburn. everything i ate wouldnt stay down, and i couldnt eat after 12midnight because the baby didnt want it. Then there was another problem.. i had to constantly keep spitting.. and that started at the first trimester and its just starting to get better and im four months today.. soo dont worrie things do get better lol..

I wasn't sure how my current pregnancy was going to compare to my first one, because my son is only 6 months old, and I am 3 months along on this one! So being that I had just delivered around 3 months before I conceived again, I didn't know what to expect.... For this pregnancy I felt pregnant much earlier. I didn't have most of the usual pregnancy symptoms the first time other than the missed period and some strange cramping. But for this pregnancy I was going to the bathroom all the time, and having more actual pregnancy symptoms much earlier on. I seem to have much more indigestion this time alot earlier. The morning (and noon and night) sickness seems about the same as last time, but I think I learned how to deal with it from last time. I now have to take Unisom at night, which according to my doctor helps with daytime nausea. It actually does! I was reluctant to take it at first because I had no idea how it could help nausea because its a sleep aid for nighttime. So now that I'm on Unisom, its extremely hard to get up with my 6 month old who still wakes up twice at night to eat. My doc also started a nausea med called Zofran, so once I started that I stopped breastfeeding. We've been doing that plus formula all along, so it wasn't hard for my son to switch to total formula. So, as far as difference in pregnancies, sickness was about the same (horrible unfortunately) but much more actual pregnancy symptoms this time, much earlier on. I'm hoping that means this one is a girl, but who knows....=)

What's different this time is that I'm more tired (there's a 13 month old in the house this time!!!), more moody/irritable (my poor hubby), and my nausea got worse just this week. Last time I could handle the nausea fairly well, but this time, it turned into vomiting and earlier this week I couldn't keep anything down and had to go to the OB for some IV fluids. Now I'm taking Vit B6 and Zofran when I need it.

I didn't start this pregnancy being as healthy as I was the first time; #1 was planned so I was already eating well and exercising, this time #2 was a huge surprise and I haven't been taking the best care of myself between #1 and work. I really hope to things turn around when I get a handle on the nausea.

With #1 I didn't need different/bigger clothes until the 4th month, but with #2 I already need bigger clothes. I don't think I'm really "showing", but my clothes (esp. pants) just started feeling too tight.

last time Iposted- m.s was similar... it has gotten so much worse! Definitely worse than last time! Doesn't help having a sinus infection on top of it! Menthol rub /cough drops do NOT go well with m/s. Got Phenergan rx on Tuesday- it's definitely helping!

For me, it is my 4th... my last was born in Jan. 09! Pretty much not planned, but super excited. But nausea is hitting full force. It is so amazing how each pregnancy is different. I had morning sickness with my other 3, though, so I am pretty used to it

So far this pegnancy is exactly like my first as far as being sick, which is pretty much all of the time:( But if it continues this way I know I only have about 3 more weeks til I start to feel better. I too am already finding it difficult to find pants that fit me comfortably. Last time I was about 5 months before that started! But it is the second afterall:)

Well with my first pregnancy I was young... I was 19, and I had to be induced, about 6 hrs into the induction the nurse asked me on a scale of 1-10 what kind of pain was I in and I said about a 2 and she told me that if I didn't have a epidural now I wouldn't be able to get one. I got scared and decided to have one without realizing that I didn't even feel the labour (in some ways that was nice I guess). He was born about 5 hours later and I was so well rested and happy! With my second son I went into labour early and didn't even know that I was in Labour ( I thought I had food poisoning) and I was very reluctant to go to the hospital, I sat for about 2-3 hours and decided because the pains weren't going away I should probably go to the hospital. I drove myself, my hubby and son to the hospital and found out when I got there that I was 9cm's and ready to push... So I decided to go with out any paid med. After my first 2 pushes my dr told me that the baby was too big to come so they would give me a c-section... I know that I will have a c-section this time around so I am kinda happy that there will be no rushing to the hospital with the kids in tow because you go into labour when nobody expected you to! lol

I'm a snd timer also. my first is 22 months. So dar, the m/s is similar, in that I still have never thrown up (yea!), but it's rarely in the morning- usually in the evening & sometomes during the night. Tiredness is similar. My belly popped MUCH earlier (already hard to find pants that fit!). I notice the most difference in my cravings! Last time- I wanted strawberries constantly (& my daughter LOVES them now, so I blame her for that!) & ice cream & mashed potatoes (almost anything creamy). This time is much weirder- pickles (Ok, to be expected, but last time I didn't like them), guacamole (which I never even liked before this) and sweet potatoes! This time seems like it is taking forever to move forward, but I found out super early (at about 5 weeks!). so that could be part of it. Next dr. appt isn't until 7/7- such a long wait!!

Yeah, feels different. Physically, I'm not sick at all (YET). And find it funny as it's been a little difficult at the beginning for the 1st pregnancy. The same is that I feel tired and hungry any time (I try to slow down on the food, I took 19kg last time and haven't lost all of it now...). Emotionnally it feels a lot different. For Yann, I was feeling good being pregnant and could have stayed like that forever with baby in my belly ! Now, I just want the baby to come, not patient at all, I want to meet him/her and get everything ready now ! I'm really happy though and looking forward to feel the baby moving. I also know more of what will or can happen and feel more serene (do you know that word ?) on the idea to have a baby. I fear a little to deal with 2 cyclones but... this is far away, all babies are different and Yann will change a lot in a year, I guess. Impossible to predict how it will be !

kind of cool we are all in the same boat! how old is your first?? mine is 2. this pregnacy is already way different! i had lower back pain, and i felt nausous all day longwith my 1st!! this time, i am extremley thirsty and i have very very little morning sickness, and no back pain!! i was hoping this time around would be a little easier on me!!
