Does anyone tell you that you are skinny and small for 7 months pregnant?

I'm 26 w 2 d with a baby boy and have been constantly teased from my family say; I'm huge LOL I didnt know they've been teasing me until the others suspect me being pregnant. Most of them said my belly was small (I'm a size 12 women) Dont pay any attention to what other people say. As long as your doctor say your baby is healthy :)

OMG!!! I was just saying how I have never in my life heard you are so skinny then now, and I'm 33 weeks pregnant. I am all belly too. I don't worry about it if the Dr. has no concerns than I don't either.

I am 30 weeks and am all belly and boobs!! I go to the gym 3 days a week, stick to a good diet and have a very active 2 year old. I have only put on 8 kgs and though I don't get the same comments as you, I am constantly told that I am small. I'm 5'3" so no surprises there.

Don't worry yourself with what people say ... as long as all is well with you and most importantly, bub eg growth etc THAT'S ALL THAT MATTERS!

Some women see pregnancy as a reason to let themselves go' and eat for two ... others like us, choose otherwise. It's a personal choice!!

GIRL I KNOW HOW YOU FEEL IM 33 WEKS AND I LOOK LIKE IM 4 MONTHS. INFACT MY DOC MEASURED MY BELLY AND WAS A LIL CONCERNED ABOUT THE GROTH, SO I GOT AN ULTRASOUND DONE AND HE SAID EVERYTHING FINE HE WEIGHS 4 POUNDS 5 OUNCES AND HIS LENGTH IS GREAT! BUT IM A SMALL PETITE GIRL, B4 I GOT PREGO I WEIGHED 114 AND NOW I WEIGH 132 BUT IM ALL BELLY!! I JUST HAD MY BABYSHOWER AND WHEN I WENT SHOPPING FOR AN OUTFIT I WAS LOOKING FOR A SHIRT THAT WILL MAKE MY BELLY LOOK A LIL BIGGER LOL, I KNOW SILLY RIGHT?! GOOD LUCK AND CONGRATS!!

I get the opposite reaction. I was a big girl before I got pregnant (big not huge) and people like to sneer at me and yell out things like ew gross in public. Like the thought of a woman my size (16) making it with someone is just unthinkable. And its almost like they expect us all to be the exact same size, you are either to big or to small. Its so silly.

I'm 32 weeks and i get told that all the time. Even from my family members but my doctor told me I'm healthy and I'm measuring is right. But my main concern is will the baby be underweight and if so what will happen. I'm truly nervous and understand where you are coming from

I am due Jan 13th (so im 31 weeks) and I have just barely gained 10 pounds. My dr says because I am 25 pounds over weight I have gained the ideal amount so far and not to worry but I too have gotten several comment about how small my belly is. It is annoying because I dont feel small at all!
With my oldest child I gained 50 pounds and everyone made comments about how big I was and would ask smart alec questions like " Are you sure your not having twins??" I think I'll take the comments about how small I am over the other! Usually I just smile and nod and say something about how I am lucky with this pregnancy I have been craving sweet fruit instead of cake!

OH! I get it all the time & I hate it! here I am 7 1/2mos, feeling big as a house & everybody's like, "AWWW, your so tiny..Do you eat?" it irritates the hell out of me especially coming from the other 1/2's side of the family. Im doing what im told..besides I was never really big before pregnancy

Yes I get that all the time. I am 29 weeks pregnant and believe think im only 4 or 5 months. And when I tell them im 7 months they (like you said) automatically assume something is wrong with me and my child.



I have had people say I was lying about being pregnant, that Ive had a miscarriage, or things like that.



It is really annoying. I am a very small person to begin with so of course Im not going to blow up, I have a huge belly but I also have a big booty and big boobs.



I have asked the doctor over and over if everything was ok with my weight and he said I am perfect, Im just where I need to be.



So just ignore the people like I do. I know it is frustrating but hey we know our child is growing nice and strong and we know that we and our child are heatlhy so it really doesnt matter what people think.

I'm almost 31 weeks, all belly but people ask me if I'm about ready to have this baby!! Infact, I do hair and one of my clients asked me if I was going to make it through the haircut!! It all depends on how you're carrying, we're cute with just our baby bellies!

hmm well in not really the active type of person but i do get a work out because i live on a farm pretty much and i take care of my goats and dogs and stuff but people tell me that i dont even look that big at all and most people that ive seen were really big and told me that they are jealous that im so small lol. and i really feel like im huge but i guess im carrying her really far back

I get that all the time too. If you are skinny beofore you are pregnant, you are going to look smaller. I just ignore it or I tell people I am perfect the way I am and the baby is doing great!

size doesnt matter how big your belly gets. my first was 10lbs i didnt show with her til my 8th month. never bought maternaty clothes or anything. then my son came out 7lbs 4oz and i looked like a macys float by the time i was 5 months. size and weight have nothing to do with any of it. im preg with my 3rd have only gained 14 pounds and can barley pull my butt up out of a chair and i still have 11 weeks to go. just dont worry about anything ppl say.

I'm 29 weeks and I have people asking me if I'm really pregnant..All I do is laugh and ask them, why would I lie about being pregnant. I have a little belly. My doctor says Me and my babygirl are perfectly healthy and thats all that matters to me!

Everyone is different! As long as you and your baby are healthy and your doctor agrees, then you have nothing to worry about. Good for you for staying in shape! It will only be that much easier to loose any weight afterwords.

Don't let other veiws that your eating for two question if your doing the right thing. You wouldnt feed a baby mounds of chocolate so I don't know why some women use this as an excuse to over eat when pregnant.
Also well done for not stopping going to the gym you have a lot more disipline than I ever could.
I'm sure that because of being fit and healthy you'll have none of these "complications" that people think you've had

im almost 7 months along,and people say the same thing,i dont go to the gym,but my baby is growing at normal pace.She is as big and weighs as much as she should.

Oh yeah i completely agree with what you both said some women just do hide it better than others. An every female is different n body size and shape so it shows up on women differently than others . For me im a very small person to begin with i was only about 120 or so before and only 5'1" so yeah i will have a smaller bell of course and a smaller baby but that doesnt nesscarily mean badd things you know? But thank you n i wish you both all of luck as well and Congrats were mommies =)

It happens to me all the time! I'm 30 weeks and I just started "showing" to the rest of the world about 4 weeks ago. Some of us women just hide it a little bit better than others. Take it as a compliment, women who can't hide it very well tend to be jealous of those of us who can. :)

You know, I dont know why people assume that you are suppose to be extremely overweight or whatever they think. I am 31 wks along and I havent gained much weight at all. But Im short so my stomach is huge, but thats it. I havent gained anywhere else. I still work full time and I am practically on my feet the whole time at work, constantly walking around, etc. I can still wear my regular clothes, with some exceptions of course, mostly pants still fit they just have to be lower, lol. People assume that you are "eating for two" but really your only suppose to eat like 300 more calories a day, dont quote me on that but its something like that. Your not suppose to eat 2 normal size meals each time. Come on, its a BABY, not another adult. I would be bothered if I kept getting asked if I had complications, I dont understand why they are asking that? So you go to the gym everyday and eat healthy, thats great. Your taking care of yourself. I think a lot of women use pregnancy as an excuse to gain some extra weight. Only thing I can say is to stay positive and dont let others know it bothers you, I honestly believe that some woman get jealous so they tend to insult others or maybe think that something is wrong because if they gained all the weight then everyone else should, and if you dont then something must be wrong. Kind of a way of making themselves feel better or comfortable with thier situation. Some of them I believe dont do it intentionally, or they do it in a subconcious state. Do you know what I mean? And Im sure there are some that do it to be ugly unfortunately. Well I kind of rambled on, so I dont know if it helped or not but I just wanted to let you know that you werent the only one it happens to, Ive seen it happen a lot as well. Just stay healthy and happy and keep it on a positive beat. I've stopped trying to understand why people can be so ugly sometimes and focus more on other issues and just accepted that some things I cannot change or even understand no matter how much I try so I turn my focus to other topics. i will be 29 weeks in a few days...i have a belly, but i am half the size of most of the woman i see. i like it cuz that means i am going to have another small baby like my son, and it is not as bad as the horor stories i hear about labor! there was no need for the doc to cut me and i didnt tear. my mother said that is the worst part (my lil brother being 10 1/2 lbs), my son was 6 lbs 11 oz. and very healthy. dont worry about being small, my doc said i am measuring fine, nothing to worry about!! enjoy it!

i'm 31 weeks and like you said nothing but belly. i can still wear my size 7 pre prego pants. it all depends on your body type, not to mention you are still going to the gym and eating right. just think of it this way, when you have the baby it will take you no time at all to have your body back to normal. be gratefull for that, my first baby it took me 6 months to get back to normal, but my 2nd it only took about 3 or 4 weeks. hopefully it will be the same with this one.

i am not showing at all and i am 28 weeks, i am a little overweight to begin with but i still fit in all my pre-pregnancy pants and everything. people cant even tell i am pregnant. its kinda nice cuz i dont like all the attention, i mean its nature for us to get pregnant and have babies, people dont need to rub your belly and all that. i am enjoying the not showing this time around!!

im 27 weeks pregnant and still skinny. i also know how u feel whenever they judge your belly. but in my case, i feel so lucky that im not that fat, I'd rather choose ALL BELLY than having hard time to lose weight after birth. we just have to make sure every time we see our doctor if our baby measuring right.

i'm actully due in 7 weeks, so due december not jan, but i saw jess had left a post and i wanted to as well! like i said i am due in 7 weeks, and my partners nan turned round to me the other day and said i must have my dates wrong coz i have a relatively small bump considering i am 33 weeks! i think it doesnt matter how big or small you are, people always expect more, but i am so glad im not bigger, i just couldnt cope with it, there is nothing wrong with little bumps, a lot more tidy and easier to carry! xx

OMG! i feel exactly the same way! i am 6 1/2 months and some people are like awwww.... look at your tiny belly!!! I am tiny myself at only 4ft 11 so what do people expect!!! Desiree, just cause your pregnant doesnt mean you have to be fat!! like you i am ALL belly. I know how you feel im 30 weeks and im small as well noever belive that i am as far as i am..i just started gettin a bump around 26 weeks..i have had people ask me if i am really pregant or if im making it up..it crazy cuz i wouldnt ever fake bein preggo..so i somewhat know how you feel..but the doctor tells me im measuring right
