Has anyone lost weight while being pregnant? I have lost about 14 lbs. and am not throwing up. I'm 25 weeks along. My doctor says it's very normal. But I find it weird... and I hardly look pregnant. But trust me I definitely feel it. If anyone has any input let me know.

Thanks!!!

With both my pregnancies I lost weight in the beginning. Around 15 lbs. At around 6 months I gained weight but slowly and ended up weighing 10 lbs more than I did at conception. After the baby was born I weighed less than before. I didn't diet etc. I ate reasonably and didnt overdo it all the time. Of course near the end I ate quite a bit more. If you are obese then it's recommended 11-20 lbs of weight gain, so I think I did quite well without dieting.

I am 26 weeks 4 days and so far I am a negative 1 on weight gain. Was gaining some weight, but I have started to lose it now. This is my 4th. With my first 2 gained a lot of weight and with my third I only gained 9 pounds and he was my largest baby. I am overweight in the first place, so the doctor isn't worried. The thing about being pregnant, is the baby gets what it needs before you do. However terrible it might sound, but they kind of like parasites in that way, but it is a good thing because you don't really need to worry about the baby in respect to growing, but if you start losing way too much, it could be bad for you. Just eat right and you should be fine. Because of my size, I have hard time gaining weight as the baby gets bigger because I just don't have the room to put the food.

Like the junk I used to eat and wasn't eating carbs the first week.

I started eating whole grain bagels. I don't have any nausea or morning

Sickness. Im about 6 weeks in. I got my bfp two weeks ago. Im overweight

Also, so I like the idea of losing just want a healthy baby, this is my

I lost 10lbs in the first month of my pregnancy, although I was never sick either. I am just now at 34 weeks, 2lbs over my pre pregnancy weight, so I have gained a total of 12 lbs so far, There is nothing wrong with losing weight as long as your baby is gaining, Every ultrasound I have had my daughter weighed more then her age. Weight loss is also not necessarily because you aren't eatting enough! Mine is because I changed my whole diet to be healthier for this baby (i was a junk food junkie) so weight loss is normal when you start to eat healthy. Also like some of the other women said, The baby will take the nutrients away from you first, so even if you aren't eatting enough, s/he takes their cut 1st!

Im 31 weeks pregnant and ive started to lose weight. So far ive lost 5 pounds. Everyone has assured me this is normal and that the weight loss is due to the baby getting into position to make his arrival.

They also say it is due to water retention and the weight loss is because you are losing the water.

Congrats on your miracle!

I have lost 10 pounds myself! My doctor actually said it would be a good idea if I lost weight instead of gained.

It took me a while to actually look and feel pregnant. I lost about 8 pounds during my first trimester and part ways into my 2nd. I have gained that back and think I've gained 15 additional pounds over that. Now I am just hoping I don't gain to much more. :)

I lost almost 20 pounds in my first trimester and am not putting on ALOT of weight but am told my baby is growing and is very healthy. I jus ate/eat all day long but all healthy high protein and vitamin rich foods. Lots of fruits and veggies

I have definitely had this problem(if you want to call it that) Its nice to see its not just me. I've lost 26 lbs total! sometimes it makes me nervous since i haven't gained anything back yet but my dr reassures me that the baby is definitely growing and everything looks perfect from my ultrasound. I kinda wish i would get bigger so i could get that baby bump, i had to buy new clothes but only cause mine were too big.

Don't worry, I would trust your doctor. Remember also that lots of women take better care of themselve when they are pregnant because they want their baby to have the healthiest start! :o) They eat more veggies, drink more water, take vitamins, go for walks, cut out cugar and caffeine... the list goes on and even if you're just doing one or two of these things, it can make a big difference in your weight. Enjoy this time and do your best to stay healthy for you and your baby!

I did lose weight in the beginning I had hyperemisis! Which made me sick all the time I went in for my 24 week check up last week and I haven't gained any weight in over a month! Doctor told me that women who lose weight or do not gain any at all either gain baby and lose fat or just lose fat! Hope that helps!

Im 25 weeks with my 2nd child....first pregnancy I lost 35lbs and had a 7lb 3oz baby, this time Ive already lost 15lbs and they tell me the baby is perfectly fine. I was scared too, and I even got a little curious with this pregnancy, but as long as the doctor says the baby is ok and you can feel him/her kick and move around, Im sure youre fine. :)

I am the same way! I don't look pregnant & I am 23 weeks & just started to gain A LIL weight. It's normal & plus you don't want a huge stomach... remember it ALL has to go back down. lol.

It is definately normal. With my first, I lost 8 pounds and had a 7pounds 3 ounces baby girl and she was 3 weeks early! They said if I had gone full term, she would have been over 9 pounds. This time I am pregnant with a boy and lost 13 pounds and am just starting to gain some of it back. It's fine it just means that you are not eating enough to both feed the baby and keep your current body weight so the baby takes what he/she is not getting out of what your eating out of your body instead. Just as long as you are taking your prenatals, you are both fine.

I lost almost 20 lbs. with my 2nd and he ended up to be 9 lbs. 11 oz. Perfectly healthy! This is my 3rd and I lost 15 lbs. and I am 22 wks. I was very sick for a while, but I try to eat very healthy and I have gained 8 lbs. back. I wouldn't worry about it if your dr. is not concerned!

I'm 22 weeks pregnant with my first child and have lost some weight. I was worried at first too. But my little girl seems very happy and healthy and kicks at every chance she gets. My doctor has no worries (even though I did) and it sounds like yours doesn't either. So I think it's safe to say that your baby is perfectly fine.
