Moving on to mashed food and finger foods?

Yes we have been on the stage 3 foods for almost a month. I decided to move up to those because we started on solids at 4 months instead of 6 and she was starting to chew the stage 2. We have also started with the gerber puffs ( she likes the strawberry/apple) and the bitter biscuts. When we go out we eat like little pieces if meatloaf or soft carrots, those kind of things. My Dr told me that as long as she is chewing then she should be fine.

christine...the serving size is rediculous! i give him around 5 or 6...66 pieces is crazy! that has to be a typo! LOL.

johnna--if ur LO is using his jaw to "mash" food..kinda like how a cow chews..thats the only way to describe it lol..then they might be ready! thats how i knew my son was ready for something different..you can try them! just keep a finger ready to swipe it out if they start to choke..it takes a while to get used to the different texture..but my son loves them! give them a try!

My child doesnt have any teeth, can I still try these melts and soft foods? I mean I feed him baby food- but I didnt know I could do anything else?

My LO eats the Gerber Puffs and he loves them! I don't really think the recommended serving size is right for him, I mean 66 pieces? it's more of a snack for him. I just got the yogurt melts and will be trying them tomorrow

thanks moms for responding! im not the only one giving him something new! jennie--the cereall..it has added iron in there i guess thats why they like to give it to them..however if ur LO is on formula it should be fine~im asuming! LOL

Yes MY little one loves the yogurt melts! I got him one of the Munchkin Fresh Food Feeders and I give him frozen banana. He doesnt like me feeding him very much so that helps cause he can do it himself and there is no choking hazard ( oh and great for teething too) He likes the puffs too.. we got him the peach ones! He still donest like the baby cereal though.. he gags with every bite.. Do they really need the cereal?

We've been letting our little one try stuff from our plates (veggies and fruits and grains that have no added sugar or salt) and she loves it! She is getting the hang of chewing a bit and is so interested in all food! It is exciting.

Hi... Yes... I've moved to mashing my own dinner to give it to Harry. I also roast some pumpkin and poach pears to give to him to hold... He loves putting food into his own mouth!!

My daughter eats the gerber puffs. She loves the sweet potato ones. We havent tried the yogurts yet...but she does get dr. sears stage 3 food which has tiny pieces in it (it says 7 months+ but she'll be 7 months in a week.). She sure loves to chew! even pureed food
