Hey jodi, I feel your pain - been there, but found a way to do both. There are tonnes of things you can do at home, to bring in some income and be home with your kids. Keep an open mind and look around you for opportunities. Let your family and friends know what you are thinking of too, they may have options that could help you out too. Best of luck, Caitriona

I so understand. I still have a month before I return, but I hate the thought. I am a teacher so thankfully I get alot of time off with my kids but still it is hard to leave him with anyone. I cried the entire first week I was back at work with my daughter and I don't think this one will be any easier.

try www.workingmums.co.uk they have some work from home ops on there and all the companies that post with them value working mums. I really dont want to return to work just yet, I don't want my son to form a bond with someone else.

I know how you feel. I go back next week and am devastated. We have no other choice if we want to keep a roof over our heads, etc. This is my first and he will be 9 weeks when I go back. Luckily he will be staying home with his daddy for the first few weeks I am back at work.

I wouldn't want to return to work if it meant having to leave my newborn with a sitter or daycare. Luckily for me I only work part-time and have switched my hours to the night shift. I get to stay with my little man during the day then Daddy comes home and takes over while I go to work. That's the best of both worlds! My heart goes out to the mommies who have to leave their little ones to return to the working world. Stay strong!

I feel the same way dear. With my first I was able to stay home for three months and then i go a part time job but with my second I have to go back earlier. I am lucky though as I have a couple more weeks before I have to go back. Mine will be 10 weeks before I have to go, Still too early. I would like to wait till he is a year old. I like to know what is going on there when they are taking care of him. It scares me. Good luck everyone hope you can cope. :)
