My son is 14 months and he is going through a phase where he refuses to take a nap! If I put him to bed he will just sit in his room forever just playing but WILL NOT SLEEP. I dont know what to do. Any suggestions?

Dominic doesnt always nap, but the resttime is great for him! im very lucky, and he will let me know when hes tired, ask for his blanky n diaper, and head to his crib! he doesnt always sleep, but will stay in there and talk to himself for up to 2 hours, or until lunch/dinner time! he is also 14 months! if hes not acting like he needs more sleep, let him enjoy his quiet time! :) good luck!

My daughter is also 14months and has been doing the same, so I just let her stay up the whole day, by 6pm she was knackered and was in bed and asleep by 7pm and slept till 10.30 the next morning. That same day she refused to take a nap but by 6pm that night she was so grumpy and over tired, and then woke like every 2 hours so the next day, I put her down for an afternoon nap, but she just played I just kept lying her back down, but nothing worked, so I just got her up, and went and lay on my bed and she climbed up and cuddled into me and then we both fell asleep. So I say either just keep him up and put him to bed earlier at night? Or just read to him and keep lying him back down or try cuddle him to sleep, thats what me and little kim did. :)
