Repeat C-Sections

I am pregnant with my 2nd child. After being induced with my first, they decided to give me a c-section. I always said I would have a VBAC if I got pregnant again, but now I am on the fence. I think it is probably better to do a VBAC, but what if I go into labor and they have to give me a c-section anyways? I hear the risks are worse then. I'm really stuck in the middle here. There are so many reasons why I would choose either one. Can I have some (non-judgemental) opinions and advice from women who have had more than one c-section or a VBAC? Thanks!

i have had both natural and csection. my ob told me this time it was safer for me to do another csection due to the fact the pushing can cause your scaring to tear back open. i was told it is a 60% chance that that can happen. all i can say is that risk is not good enough for me to try to push one out. besides i recovered quicker with my csection then my vbac

HI there, i have had 2 c sections and looks like my third in 9 wks time. My first boy was breech then with my second they wanted me to try normally but pre eclampsia changed that. I believe i have no choice this time and to be honest i am quite happy with that!!

i have not had 2 kids c-section, however i had my daughter in 2008 and my dr told me there was more risks in trying to have a vbac than another c-section. you have more chances to injure yourself trying to push after you have a c-section. maybe talk to your dr about what they feel is best. it may also depend on how long ago you had your 1st c-section. mine will only be 19 months between so that could be why. just ask the dr
