my baby is 19 weeks old and i've recently noticed that he's smacking his gums together. what does this mean?

My sisters daughter was chewing, lip smacking and drooling for months before she saw any white and all of a sudden in 3 days she had 3 teeth

thanks, moms! oddly, i don't see any teeth coming in. he has been drooling like a dog and chewing on his hands for quite some time now but nothing!

My baby started doing this yesterday...and today her first tooth is coming in. It's a canine tooth on the bottom. I was so excited to see that little bit of white peeking through. She has another canine tooth on top about to pop too. Poor baby!

Zander's first tooth is almost up, he is working hard, chewing his hands, anything he can get in his mouth, such as MY CHIN.. LOL

Yes teething is a cause. Is he drooling more? Chewing his hands? Teething usually doesn't happen till about 6 months. It also happens cause they are getting ready to start eating soilds. Talk to your doctor about it. My first son looked like he was getting teeth around 4 months but he didn't get teeth until he was 10 months.

My daughter is doing that and she is four months old and has been doing that for almost a week cause she's teething.

TEETHING.. My lil boy (17 weeks) Started it a few days ago.. It is also all about sensations to them the feel of doing it, and doing it just because he can.. Zander clucks his tongue and smacks his gums to get that tooth up.. could be it..
