My boys been teething for a while, amber beads have worked a charm. He's got two teeth just popped through. Everywhere Ive read it talks about order of appearances, bottom front teeth first, top front teeth next. The thing is my boys got one poking out of the bottom front and the other is at the top over on the side somewhere!! Is this normal, or just normal for him? Has anyone else got baby bucking the trend and teething against the rules?

I just dont leave him in his necklace without someone in the room constantly with him. They kinda jig up the necklaces so that any pressure and the catch releases. They arent long enough for them to be chewed on. Teeth are a nuisance huh... my boys went up and down for a while before they finally broke through and stayed that way!

@alice - must mean our kids are above average then ;)
@jamie - amber beads are teething necklaces that are supposed to warm on the baby's skin and release an amino acid which can be absorbed by the skin which has a soothing effect. Don't ask me if they work or not, Im still on the fence really, but seemed to have taken the edge off things for my boy. The first tooth had a two week grumpy led up, the second had two days. Worth a shot :)

Em,
I think that order of appearances is just an average. I have 4 girls, 3 have all their baby teeth and none of them came "in order" like they are "supposed" to. One of my daughters had 8 teeth up top before any came ont he bottom. My 2nd daughter had the 4 bottom teeth then one incisor on top - all those came in 1 week when she was 7 months old!
I think how your baby's teeth come in is just as unique as each child! :)

They just give us guides on what is "average"

My son is getting two on the top right. His bottom teeth are pressing, but the top ones have just cut through. waiting for the to fully drop down.....
