What is everyone's 8 month old up to?

My son myles was born jan 27th!!Hes been sitting on his own since roght before his 4 month He does the army crawl but can sometimes crawl with stomach off the ground for a little bit!Hes been pulling himself up and can walk all around has long as theres something to hold on to!!No teeth yet but I feel a couple that are about to come out .He holds his own bottle s since 4 months and is prob about 25 to 27 lbs.He was 22 lbs 8 oz at his 6 month check up and hasnt really slowed down the more active he s gotten the more he s started eating

Henry just turned 8 months on the 29th of Sep. And on the 29th, he started doing the 'army crawl.' I don't know how big he is right now. His growth has slowed down though. He:

-tries to pull himself up on stuff but hasn't totally suceeded on his own yet.

-He breastfeeds and eats all sorts of babyfood, plus mum mums and smashed bananas. He hated smashed avocado. Maybe it just wasn't the right ripe-ness?

-He's been sitting up well for a couple months now.

-He is getting his next two teeth (which will total to 4).

-He claps his hands with music and when he's excited.

-He waves and smiles at strangers. (He keeps changing the way he waves depending on how people wave at him.

-He can use his thumb and index fingers very well!

-He says baby words like mama, dada, and various consonants and other sounds.

-He can hold his own sippy cup, but has trouble holding it hig enough sometimes.

-He launches himself at anything he is determined to get, which is sometimes funny and other times disastrous!

-He is wearing a DOC band from gaining a flat spot as a newborn that we were never able to completely fix on our own.

-He doesn't cry when he falls down. (Only if he's actually hurt.)

-He loves being with me and my husband, but is social enough that he isn't afraid to be with strangers, even if we're not around.

My son was born the 28th! He has always slept through the night since he was born. Sat up on his own for the first time at 5 mths, started in baby cereal (rice) and fruits and vegs at 4 months when breastfeeding wasn't enough, he eats 2 meals a day with bottles in between, started crawling about 2 weeks ago. Has always been very strong and loved to stand, he pulls himself up to furniture and "yells" at the tv lol, says "dada" and "baba" and has jus started waving bye-bye!! He got his first two bottom teeth at 6 1/2 months old, has been holdin his own bottle since 3 months,.... I think that's basically it lol i kno im missing stuff but he's doin about all the same things as all the other babies!!!! Oh and he weighs about 29 lbs and is about 27 3/4 inches!!!!

Olivia was born January 17th. She was 6 days overdue and a 7lb 3 ounces baby. She was healthy but wouldn't breast feed. She now is slowly growing, she only weights about 15lbs but is very healthy. She gets onto her hands and knees and rocks backwards and forwards but can only crawl backwards at the moment. no forward crawling yet. she rolls and moves around everywhere and i cant keep track of her she is so quick! lol she says mumma, dada, buba, nan nan and nanny. She has only recently started on solids as she would gag and vomit every time anything other than milk went into her mouth but she is eating pureed fruit and veggies and baby yoghurt really well now. She sits on her own and has always been able to stand really well but still donst quite understand if she doesnt hold on she will fall over! c: its great to hear about everyone elses clever, growing babies. good work everyone!

Dean was born on Jan 12. He is standing and maneuvering along furniture/toys. He crawls like a mad man to keep up with his 2 year old brother. He sits up on his own, says "mama, dada, baba". He will eat anything you give him, even though he still has 0 teeth:) He sleeps thru the night (12 hours) and naps 2x a day. He weighs about 20 pounds. He has a very funny personality and loves to play peek a boo, splash and swim in the tub and growl and bang hands on high chair when the food isn't coming fast enough!!

My daughter was born on the 5 and she is very active. She started crawling when she was 6mn old, she started pulling up shortly after that. She started pulling up and walking alone furniture about a month ago and yesterday she took a step without holding on befre she started getting wobley and i grabbed her. she only weights 15lbs but has a very good appetite and is healthy.

Sarah Graves was born Jan. 21 and weighs about 20 lbs. She can sit herself up, crawl, pull herself to standing, cruise around the furniture and her taller toys, lets go while standing and stays up for about a second, nurses 4 times a day, eats solids 3 times a day, and sleeps all night from 8 pm to about 6 am with 2 naps a day. She babbles, but doesn't say a lot!

my son was born jan 30th..... he has been sitting by himself since 5 months, has his 2 bottom teeth since 4 months, and is breaking the 2 top ones right now. he can pull himself up by himself, he holds his own bottle, hes starting to let go of things he holds on to but only for a few seconds, hes almost 23 lbs and 28 inches long. and he said mama dada a few times but not alot. and hes been crawling now for about 2 weeks. and he reaches for things and sometimes poeple depending on ho they are mostly ME

my DD was born on jan 18... and don't worry she is only 15 lbs. but i say it has to do with how active she is... she eats and eats and eats all day long. she has been crawling and pulling self up since 4 months...pretty much walking around furniture by 5...know her colors and her pooh characters. (if you ask her which one is yellow, she will point to it, same with her pooh dolls, you ask her to go get pooh she will go get it and bring it to you). she can say mama, hi, and once i got an i love you.she puts herself to sleep has been sleeping 10 hours every night since about 2 months. umm... i know im forgetting something else...but i can't think right now

My lil girl was born Jan 20th & has been sitting up by herself since 4 months, gets around in her walker like you wouldn't believe.! Pulls herself up on things, when sitting she somehow gets herself around, i'm yet to figure out how cause she's not crawling! lol she has just started to eat chicken & meat, for a while she would only eat fruits n veges. says dada and mama & her first two teeth have just popped through. =] she sleeps through the night, from around 630, 7 till 7ish & has 1 or 2 naps during the day.

Melina was born Jan 27 and she's been sitting up since 3 months, now she crawls and walks all over the place trying to get our cat but as well loves playing with her toys. She still breast feeds and eats baby cereal 3 times a day and has a num num snack in between :) she weighs 21lbs and has just recently popped her first tooth, no to the fullest yet but it shows. She does sleep through the night from 10 to 8am and then has 2 naps a day.

Matthias was born on the 10th of Jan. He is able to pull himself up and loves to let go and stand - hands-free! Of course my heart is always in my mouth! He doesn't have any teeth as yet, but eats solid food pretty well. He crawls and likes to walk when holding onto my hands. He still doesn't sleep through the night - sigh.

all babies will get there eventually.i haven't seen an adult that can't walk. lol i carry my baby on me all day long so he doesn't get much practice crawling or walking. but is advancing very well on his own for me not putting him down much. i believe in attachment parenting

wow everyones little ones seems far ahead of my little one, born 15 january... he can sit up on his own but might fall to the side, he is flying in his walker and can walk holding my hands but cannot pull himself up will not crawl but well able to mounevour (spelling) himself around in a circle..can hold his sippy cup but refuses to hold his bottle have tried putting his milk into sippy but he knows whats going on and will refuse to hold it! can shake his head when he doesnt want something to say no... isnt doing great on the solids he cant chew the small bits! he has his front 4 teeth through.. says mumma and dadda!! Ok as im writing all this down he doesnt seem so far behind as i thought ha!! all i know is all babies are different and will do things in there own time.:)

Tatyn was born January 8th. He is a little over 20 lbs n 30 inches tall... he has been sitting up by himself since he has been around 3 months. He has been sleeping through the night since he was born he eats all the time he has been eating baby food since he was 5 months when nursing just wasn't enough... He has been standing flat footed since he has been 2 weeks. he has been pulling his self up n walking around the furniture since he has been 4 months... he is now learning how to take his clothes off... he loves playing patty cake with his oldest sister.... He is always on the go he doesn't stop very often...

Mi chld born on 22nd of january is doing all the same stuff .. she just got her second tooth and is starting to balance when standing up .. she just hasnt got the jist of moving her feet without leaning against something. Shana also wieghs nearly 20lbs but she looks alot smaller.

my son was born jan. 8, he sits by himself, loves normal food! he does not walk or crawl yet but arms and legs are constantly moving. likes making faces as well and has six teeth with more on the verge of cutting through:) he is also only about 16 pounds and perfectly healthy!!!

my son was born jan 20th. he weighs 20lbs now, talking (mama, dada, hey, no), insists on feeding himself, prefers the sippy cup to a bottle, "swims" int he tub and have regular screaming contests with me. i never win lol
