Anyone have a lifting restriction that prevents lifting your toddler?

I had been working as the Assistant Manager at a Dollar General. I noticed that heavy lifting (anything over about 20 pounds) was starting to cause pulling and pain just below my "baby belly". At my 28 week check-up today my doctor was going to give me a lifting restriction for work. He ended up putting me on Medical Leave of Absence and told me not to lift more than 15-20 pounds. My daughter is 2, she weighs about 28 pounds. I'm doing my best to work around lifting her, but I know that once the rain stops and we get to go outside again she's going to want me to pick her up to help her with some of her outdoor toys (swings, trampoline, bike, etc.) Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I'd suggest trying to get someone to help you when you take her outside if possible. I have a set of two year old b/g twins and a four month old son. Towards the end of my pregnancy I had to have my husband help quite a bit with lifting the twins because I experienced the same thing you're talking about.
