My doctor said "No DEET for you this summer!" at our last visit, but we've had a pretty wet spring so the mosquitoes are comin' out already. He said I could use the new clip-on repellents - they work great if I'm sitting, from the seat up. Plus, I found a lemon-grass/citronella spray, but it doesn't do much to be honest, and smells AWFUL to me.

Does anyone have any great, non-DEET bug repellent solutions?!

I use California baby on my 21 month. It works pretty good for us and I like the smell. I don't use products with DEET anymore. I also have tiki torches through the yard and I mow the grass often to keep the bugs down. So far it's working pretty good for us, except when we want to work in the garden! Good luck!

hi,we dont have problems with mosquitoes in the UK but i've been told for any holiday purposes if we are going anywhere with mosquitoes,just to check the back of the packaging,but the three main ones i've been told are good as alternatives to DEET are Repel Lemon, Citronella or something called Bite Blocker - however i dont know if this one will be available where you are,but it is a geranium and soybean oil combination
