she wakes up screaming and is 8 weeks old. I've tried gas drops, helping her poop with gently rubbing the thermometer in her rectum, cuddling, feeding obviously, changing her etc.

My Daughter has gas, gas, and more gas. She would grunt and groan all nite. She's formula fed and well burped. I give her a bath before bed. And rub her belly clock wise, this gets tons of gas out and she sleeps better. She's still gasy but can deal with it a little better.

Assuming your doc cannot find anything wrong with bub, I'd suggest popping her in a carrier or sling and walking. My son was very 'unsettled' and in the end that was all that worked. Worked a treat, though!

if the screaming is at the same time everyday i'd look at colic remedies. if it's only when she's laying down, I would definately be getting her checked out by Dr for reflux. all 3 of my daughters had reflux - the first was a projectile vomiter so it was easy to work out, but the next 2 have been silent reflux and was hard to work out at first that that was the problem. try propping up the head of the cot/basinet and avoid laying her down flat wherever possible, this may be enough to help. Brown sugar dissolved in some boiled water is a natural laxative and does not cause the violent colon spasms chemical 'poop drops' do, so maybe even try this if she is having trouble with bowel actions

is the screaming only at night? it could definitely be reflux. my baby is 9 weeks old and was diagnosed with reflux two weeks ago. i'm an RN but reflux never crossed my mind because she never spit up. apparently there are some cases of reflux where the baby doesn't spit up but they are very fussy and irritable because the acid burns their throat. she would holler anytime we laid her down (occasionally she would scream out of a sound sleep because she was in pain) and would gag and choke often. if this sounds like a possibility call your pediatrician right away and start meds. you'll have a happy baby in no time!

If you'r breastffeeding maybe she's not getting enough and you may have to formula feed for a little bit!

are you breastfeeding or formula feeding? if you are breastfeeding there are about 1001 things that can cause her to have gas or other digestive problems from food - common allergens such as soy, wheat or cow products. also things in the brassica family such as broccoli. if you are formula feeding, maybe she isn't agreeing with the formula. we've tried 5 different kinds before finally settling on one that seemed to agree with my 8 week old the most.
the tips from "happiest baby on the block" are also quite good.

i walked mine around, brought her outside, that calmed her down and she fell asleep, and it could be gas, so if u get baby gas x, that'll work to

A lot of rocking and shhhhing is usually good! and keeping them wrapped up tight like they were in the woom is very comforting to them! i suggest that you get the book "Happiest Baby on The Block" It is wonderful!
