We dont use babyfood much anymore. But we do keep it around. On busy days when I dont prepare as many fruit and veggies as I should, its nice to just pop open a jar and know atleast my Sammach is eating well.

My son will be 1 on the 17th, and the only reason I am still giving him baby food is because i get it from WIC. He only has 5 teeth but loves to eat other food. But I do plan on giving him the baby cereal with baby food in it twice a day though.

my little boy was 1 on the 3rd sept.he has never had baby food and has 4 full teeth through.he eats anything we give him.i would give ur baby more 'normal' food as they need to learn textures.u dont want to have a fussy eating child.

My son turns one on the 16th and he eats 4 jars a day (lunch, snack, and 2 for dinner - he doesn't like stage 3 so he gets two jars of stage 2). For breakfast he has baby cereal. But throughout the day he can have finger foods like honey nut cheerios or other dry cereal or baby snacks. But he will eat some table food that we eat. For me, I'm more concerned that he continues to get the nutrients that he needs and should be getting. We don't eat a very healthy diet and don't really cook, so I feel more comfortable making sure he gets his healthy baby food (which he still likes) and then he can supplement and experiment with what we are having. I wouldn't be so concerned though. If your LO is still accepting the baby food, go for it. There's no harm and it is much more healthier than what most of us eat anyway.

my sons 1 on the 7th and we have been on table foods since 9 months. i cut into small pieces and i dont puree anything. hes had 4 teeth since then and he learned to chew and swallow very quickly. were now 3 months in and he eats everything i eat and has been on whole milk since 8 months. we stopped baby cereal last. we were still using it as a bed time snack right before he turned 9 months then switched to a real snack. he eats all whole fruits, veggies and meats with absolutly no issues. but i started small. (cheerios, puffs, mashed potatoes, cream corn ect) good luck!

Abby(9/23) really didn't start eating solids until she was about 9months and we went straight to table foods and stage 3 jars for when we are out to eat. At 9months, she just had 2 teeth. She now has 5! 3 just poped out last night all at once!!

my little girl has two teeth and since she has figured out she can feed herself, she refuses all mush. I wish I could still feed her baby food!

Ive been giving my little girl (who will be ine the 26th) baby food still but mostly just the fruits and veggies. I dont have time to properly cook them the way I would need to to make it easier for her to eat them (softer) so its just easier to give her the jars.
She too has four teeth.

My son doesn't have any teeth yet and stopped taking baby food at around 10 months. He just all of sudden wanted nothing to do with it. He eats just about everything though. I don't think teeth has anything to do with it but if they enjoy it, there's no need to get rid of it. I say keep it going if it gets fruits and veggies into them.

My daughter also turns 1 on the 24th and I will most likely stop the baby food after that. She prefers to eat what the rest of us are having and isn't that keen on baby food any more. So I will just chop/mash things that she might have trouble with as she only has 3 teeth. But she too likes the independence of feeding herself.

YIKES, I guess I'm the minority. Roxanne was mainly eating regular food by 10 months. Obviously I still mash, steam, cube, grate, peel etc. the things that are more difficult to eat but she's been thriving and loving the independence.

I still puree my son's food although he has 8 teeth. He gags on stage 3 food but he will chew on a piece of meat or potatoe chip. I noticed the other day that he is starting to bite off pieces of toast and swollowing it. So I'm in no hurry to force him to eat "solid food". He will when he's ready. He turns 1 on the 17th.

I'm doing the same thing too. Luke has 2 baby food meals a day, but he also stands in front of me with his mouth open everytime I eat something, so I share my meals with him, also. In addition to that he stills nurses on me about 3-4 times a day. Usually only a little, I think it's mostly for comfort now, because the majority of his meals are solid food or baby food. Luke turns 1 on the 4th of September.

My daughter has 4 teeth too and I'm doing pretty much the same. Tori turns one on the 29th.
