I have a Sunshine Kids car seat. I have the Radian 65 for my 4 year old and the radian 65sl for my son. I haven't put my son in the radian yet because he's still in his infant seat. both of those seats are convertible so the kids can be rear facing or forward facing. I have to get those because i have tall kids (these seats go to 49 inches tall, i believe). They will reach the height limit well before they reach the weight recommendation in any other seat.
The infant seat only goes to 29 inches or 22 lbs and the kids reach that length when they are about 7 months old. henry is already 28 1/4 inches and he was born the 24th. We'll be switching to the other seat soon.
i love our seats because they are made of steel, not plastic like all the other car seats. they also have the same AWESOME safety ratings as Britax. and because of the narrowness of the seats. they can fit 3 across in our back seat. I don't need that many, but it's nice because a third kid can fit between the car seats. And they are foldable, so they are good with air travel. That's one of the main reasons i picked this one because we were going to take a trip and needed a seat that was easy to travel with. They are more expensive than most seats ($240), but i feel there is no price on the safety of my children! DEFINITELY worth the cost!!!

Well, you have a logn time before you ahve to worry about forward facing! You should keep baby rear facing as long as possible! You don't HAVE to turn them around at 1 year and 20 lbs. In fact, it is recommended that you don't and is veyr dangerous to do so.

why are you looking at forward facing car seats???? I would suggest a Myride 65 it rear faces 5-40lbs and forward faces 22-65lbs. Also the True Fit is good 5-65lb also but has a taller shell for kiddos with longer then average torsos. 5-35lbs rear and 22-65lbs front. Also Britax is good but i would stay away from the Safety 1st Air because for the prices its got that great. So i've heard anyway. lol We just out our son a Scerena its cheap but is still a great car seat and our son likes it better then is infant carrier.

i have just found the evenflo symphony 65 car seat from 5 -100 lbs and i LOVE it..super easy to install, has straps that don't need rethreading to adjust, and it fits well in the back seat of small vehicles as well....not to mention it's a great price! ($249 cdn)
