I am going crazy trying to think of a great christmas present for my 14 month old daughter. I have the other toys, but I'm not sure what to get her for the "big" toy. Any suggestions? Did your baby get a great toy for their birthday that they just loved and still play? All suggestions greatly appreciated :)

I would say her toy kitchen but you have to have toy food and pots and pans

Or toy house if your husband can build it it's better because you can customize it for her

Since Hannah has two older cousins she sees everyother day who are blessed with every toy imaginable (and our house is so tiny) Santa will bring her fridge magnet toys by Leap Frog and a Winnie-the-Pooh. She's recently discovered my Roland piano and that she can whistle (15 mos on Xmas). Maybe I should look for a microphone!! You guys have given great ideas for our little ones' Christmas morning!

I bought my daughter (15 months) a play kitchen. Our friends had one and she will open the little cabinets and drawers (taking things out and putting them back in) for hours. We can't wait to give it to her. Family members got her a play pan set and play food to go with it!

My Meg is getting all developmental toys for Christmas. She has some gross motor skills delay from an underlying health condition and so I am getting her Threading beads, a bilibo, a newborn water baby (adding water makes them heavier), a rodi, peg puzzles, clothes and a tea set. Everything but the tea set and clothes are on her physical or occupational Christmas toy list.

I got alot of toys for her Birthday So it is good to ask family to buy something small and contribute to an education savings fund and every child is different so you are the best judge on what she likes

Domynik got a riding toy that plays music and has a horn. He loves to sit on it and try to go. He also pushes it throughout the house. He also got a potty chair that plays music when he goes and my baby can read videos. He really doesn't like to watch tv yet or go potty. He also loves his little tykes place house, but it is getting to cold to go out and play. He isn't getting a big gift for christmas, just a bunch of smaller toys, animals and a color wonder set.

we are giving our daughter a sled, some clothes, a potty, a big kitchen with accessories, and (hopefully) a little drum set!! we are getting her enough, but not going over board. we dont have the money and i know my mom has already gone crazy!! we will also get a few small things for her stocking. i would rather give my children quality things (like the kitchen, she will have for yrs!) then a bunch of things.

Fisher Price Laugh and Learn Learning Home. my friend with twins has it and we got it for our 14month old for Christmas. it's great for babies who love to open and shut doors, crawl/climb through stuff, and explore.

The toy kitchen is definitely something that Carter is into. We have been looking for one, but haven't settled on a brand yet. The thing to remember is that they don't want "little kid" dishes. They know the difference. We're going to the dollar store to get him a set of his own utensils. If he plays with mine, that is obviously what will keep his interest. Unfortunately, his favorite is the Turkey Baster.

We got Abigail books (she LOVES books), some clothes, a push car with stackable gears, a tub toy, another bigger toy like the busy ball popper...but her big gifts are a "baby" sled, that comes with a canopy and a ride-on car that can first be used as a walker because she's not yet walking solo.

I must say that my daughter LOVES Mega Blocks...probably one of the greatest inventions ever! :D she is getting a step 2 kitchen for Christmas because she has a little one that she's pretty much grown out of. It's amazing how many things kids like to play with in common :D we also bought her a motorized play Jeep...she has a small 4-Wheeler that she got for her Birthday and does wonderful on it so this will be the next step up!

Tanner is getting the Endless Adventures Tikes Town Playhouse. He got a small toy story ball pit with balls for his b-day a couple months ago, and that ended up being a great buy. He loved the "fort" aspect of it, he would sit in it all day if I let him!

Step 2 kitchen is what I am getting my boy for his big christmas gift....yes my boy. His cousin has the kitchen and everytime he visits their house he plays with it the whole time. He is so into opening all the drawers and stove and such and putting the pots and pans in and out and in and out.... he loves it and I can not wait till Christmas for him to be able to play with it!

this year i got her a relatively small tricylce. she loved one at a party recently, and this one is a little more her size, but claims that it will grow with her. she is also getting a baby keyboard by v-tech. a toy she still plays with from her recent bday are all of her books, mega-blocks and a plastic riding pony. that one stays inside, and the trike will be for outside, the park and visiting grandparents. she also loves rides in her wagon, and tries to get into it every time we pass it in the garage.
