Does anyone know of any good diapers that will hold diarrhea?

5 days ago we were on two flights for our vacation - had maybe 20 diaper changes. Protected our baby's bottom with towels to prevent leaks. Have tried the Costco Brand, Pampers,...still everything leaks through his layers of clothes. We are using the plastic swim cover as an extra precaution, although it is not foolproof. We stretch out the diapers each time. Its now 6 days later, we are still dealing with the diarrhea. Any suggestions?

Bumgenius 3.0 onesize, Rumparooz, Fuzzi Bunz, and Happy Hieny's are my favorites. NEVER had an issue with blow outs! Easy to wash and clean, and it saves the landfill from 3,000 diapers from just my baby, not to mention how much money I save in the long run from using those nasty paper diapers full of chemicals that can be harmful to my daughter. :)

Fam got us some of the makers choice? They are the BEST diapers I have EVER used! Cheaper than huggies AND they NEVER leak. My son is a cronic bed wetter lol. Every morning he has to get a bath. Now that we have these not ONCE has he leaked!

You might try the BRAT diet to get rid of the diarrhea. If you baby is old enough. WE use Target brand diapers on our 9 month old. He has only had 2 blowouts. You poor thing. What a mess!

I know Target brand rocks!!! they look awesome too! looks nothing like a cheap brand! I don't like their wipes tho. I like huggies thick and clean wipes.

We started using the BJ's brand, and they work just fine. Make sure you pull out the little gathers around the legs. It helps with preventing leaks. Good luck.

I had that problem for like 4 months. I breastfeed so her bowels are loose. I was using the Pampers, swaddlers and had to throw away several outfits do to stains. I then tried luves still no luck. I then switched to Huggies, cruisers....LOVE THEM!

I reccomend Pampers. The Baby Dry kind can last up to 12 hours, and when Raven had diarrhea there wasn't ever a speck on his clothes. Good luck, and I hope your little one feels better soon! Also, I would reccommend you take him to the doctor to figure out what's causing such bad diarrhea.

I use Huggies and Pampers.. My daughter goes through the Luvs like she is wearing nothing at all... I want to say it was on babierus but they make a liner you can put in a regular diaper so it absorbs more...

The fisher price diapers are the best.My daughter was constantly leaking through Pampers and Huggies. You can only get the FP ones at Babies R Us though, but they make a day/night combo box and they are much cheaper. They are the only diaper ive tried that doesnt leak whether its pee or a massive blowout.

the huggies little snugglers have a little pocket that help catch the stuff that tries to sneak up the back. a little pricer but worth it for the days that the poo is extra runny. Usually I use Huggies snug and dry, but they don't stop the leaks as well.

Thanks for the responses. If this ever happens again, I Will start off with Huggies. I understand the full value of cloth diapers, but it just doesn't fit in with my time.

we use pampers baby dry and love them. my daughter has only wet thru her diaper a few times. i bought the pampers dry max the other day and hated them! they did not hold more and were more square and seemed uncomfy for my baby girl. i babysit a 1 yr old whos parents get him huggies and they seem to work pretty well also.

Just a thought, my son was pretty good at overflowing disposables while I used them, both pee and poo. Once I completely switched him to cloth diapers, I no longer had to worry about overflowing. While you can do cloth diapering the old-fashioned way (with cloth squares and pins), there are a plenty of easier options available, including hybrid systems that include using disposable liners (for helping with the chunky stuff). It may be worth it to invest a month's diaper budget into getting some cloth diapers and seeing if they help you get through the diarrhea. Just follow the washing instructions for the diapers and if you don't like them, there is a market for properly cared for cloth diapers. Check out DiaperSwappers if you need encouragement.

huggies and the costco brand have worked fine for us but I usually find huggies to be better than pampers and the costco brand
