I've noticed that my son knows how to pick out two matching socks, so I decided to try it with other things, and sure enough, he knows how to pick out matches. Are your kids doing this too? I'm surprised, but maybe it's something he should've been doing six months ago.

My daughter likes to match things too! She has 3 ducks that are the same, but different sizes in the bath tub and will also line them up according to size every time.

My son does this too. I notice he likes to match his toys with the color he is wearing that day.

My daughter does that, mostly with shoes. she picks our shoes out in the mornings and always brings a matching pair. she also has a matching book, and can find the pairs. they are little sponges and soak up everything we do, even matching socks in the laundry.

My son does that too and then he holds them up and says "two!"

I asked an elementary teacher today about it and she said matching is very advanced for their age. Especially matching things other than toys. Congrats to our munchkins!

My daughter will do the same thing she does it with dishes clothes and toys it is normal for them to want to match things
