Has anyone heard of any natural / homeopathic products that would be helpful for recurring ear infections? (antibiotics do not seem to help much :o(

Someone once suggested to me the Vitamin E oil drops applied directly into the ear helps (anyone heard this?)

I have an 8 year old daughter that had reaccurring ear infections the antibiotics werent helping nor were ear drops nothing helped her but having tubes put in her ears. She had to have 3 sets of tubes but now she is fine and hasnt had a problem with her ears bothering her anymore and i hope it continues. That might be something you could ask your doctor about and see if the recommend it. The second time my daughter had tubes put in they also took her tonsils and adnoids out as well.

Often chronic ear infections are due to food allergies (such as dairy, wheat, gluten...). Also if your child has been on numerous rounds of antibiotics their normal flora has been wiped out and you should put your lil one on probiotics. Studies have shown that probiotics are effective at boosting immunity and decreasing childhood colds, infections, etc.

hi dawn, i have heard of the drops as well - i used to look after a little boy that had really bad wax build up that wouldn't drain and that caused his ear infections - his parents were told by the dr to put the oil in his ears three times a day and it helped the wax come out
