Easter Traditions

While I'm not exactly a practicing Catholic...we still want Easter to be both religious and fun (Easter Bunny and eggs). I want to know if there's something special your family used to do or does now at Easter besides the whole egg hunt idea. Maybe something you used to get in your basket?

My mother would always fill our baskets for me. When i woke the next day i knew the easter bunny had came to give me a gift. My mom always told me the bunny came because i was an awsome little girl for the year. Of course the normal egg hunts. I will continue that with my daughter as well as putting something in her basket related to God. I would love to add sonething to the tradition for my little family so it can be carried on.

Usually in the morning when we wake up the "Easter Bunny" left our baskets full on the kitchen table... Then he also hid plastic eggs in the yard.. (we rarely went to church, not a big church family) then after the egg hunt was over we all just hung out all day and had a big dinner with family coming over... I hope to continue that tradtion with my son... I know this year the day before easter we are having a huge family and friend get together at a local park and having egg coloring and hunting for all the kids and a grill out!!

I have started the tradition of buying Ava a singing toy of some description. Last year she got a singing bunny, this year its a singing cow and lamb. All easter themed of course ! They are so cute
