My son has always been if a forward facing stroller, once we started using it-maybe around 2 months. He has no complaints.

i agree with the majority, i dont think it matters which way they sit in the buggy. I havent heard of it yet. But they're always comming out with new concerns. just go with what you are comfortable with. we have him sitting forward sometimes, if its too cold, i clip the carseat on the buggy and have him facing me, its warmer that way.

The pram I have did not face me at all, she has been front facing since day one. She loves it!!! She is almost 5 months old now, and she loves being able to smile and greet her adoring public. haha.

I only have a front facing stroller, and i didnt like putting my new baby in it. Fortunately, its the one that the car seat can attach to, and the car seat then face me. I liked it this way much better, just so i could keep a better eye on her. Now that she is 5 months old though, she likes to be sitting up and facing out so she can see everything.

My son has been in a forward facing stroler from day one. Once he got to about two months he started to really look around. How every he is a real sticky beak. I've never heard of laws/recommendations regarding strollers/prams. In Australia your child can go into a forward facing carseat once they reach 8kg/17lb which is normally around 6 months.

I did the same thing you are now. I felt my daughter was too young to face forward in her stroller, however, I have seen babies much smaller ride frontwards before. My daughter hates being in her carseat now so I decided to try her in her stroller facing forwards. It went much better than when she was in her carseat facing me and I actually got a stroll in. It makes me extremely nervous I will admit, but she loves being able to see all the scenery around her.

my 17 week old has a stroller, car seat combo she hates being in the car seat all the time so when i take her somewhere i usually put her in the stroller itself rather than taking the whole car seat out and hooking it up to the stroller. the only probelm is that it's still cold outside and i don't feel she's covered up enough so i wrap her up in a blanket then put her in the stroller so the only thing not covered is her face.

I've never heard it was an issue to be forward facing or rear facing in a stroller. I know you have to be rear facing for atleast 1yr and 20lbs before facing forward in a carseat in the car..... I'm intrested in knowing this too. Even though we don't use a stroller because I use the Ergobabycarrier instead.

I think its whatever you are comfortable with. We have a graco travel system and my first daughter hated to be in the carseat. She would cry her head off until someone picked her up. At 2 mos we put her in the stroller facing forward like a big girl while I was getting stuff ready and she absolutely loved it. So we stopped using the carseat with the stroller bc half the time she wouldn't sit in the carseat but she was fine with the stroller itself.

My baby has faced the front from day one. She is now 4 months old and she sits up in it also. Not all prams face you, my little girl loves it now, instead of sleeping in the pram she is too busy exploring the world!

I put my baby in her forward facing stroller yesterday in order to take her out in the yard for a few minutes while I pulled weeds and she looked very uncomfortable so I probably won't try that again for awhile. She eventually started fussing so I brought her back in.

Hi I changed my little one to forward facing stroller from bassinet at about 3.5 months (start of the year). He had got so much more interested in everything from about 3 months old so I reckoned that he would like being able to see the world and what was going on. He loves it - major sticky beak! I had never heard waiting till a year and the bassinet would only have lasted until six months at the max anyway. I'd try it!

You can have your baby facing forward in the stroller from birth. So long as baby is laying down till he can support his head. I have 5 kids in total and they all love facing forward. My 4 month old loves loves looking around her at the world. Its how they learn

My stroller can face both ways, i had my daughter facing me for the first 3 odd months, but she was a lot happier once i swapped it to forward facing, she just likes the view.

I don't really think it matters in the stroller, although until they have good head control, you shouldn't have them sitting up in the stroller. At this age, most babies are ready and able to be able to sit up supported so do fine sitting in a stroller.

You absolutely HAVE to keep them rear facing in the car seat until they are 1 year old AND minimum 20 lbs. It's actually safest to keep them rear-facing until they reach the weight limit of the carseat. (Alot of convertibles now go to 30 lbs or more.)

I recently tried my little guy facing forward in the stroller & he's much happier. He's rear facing in the car - but hates being in the car seat when he's not in the car, so as a comprimise between car seat & my having to hold him the whole time we're out, he sits facing forward in his stroller.

I started my 4mo outward facing about a month ago and she LOVES it! I just have her in a JJ Cole Toddler snuggle me (one of those stroller sleeping bags...meant for an older child but it works) and she is cozy and warm.
