i live in a 1bedroom flat, i am looking to move but its taking longer then anticipated,
my son born 11/09/09 sleeps in his cot in my room at night, i can get him to go slepp around half 7 at nite on his own in the cot BUT during the night he wakes 2 or 3 times, because he can see me asleep in the bed he gets up an will shout mummy until i get up,i will then lie him back down and repaet this until he goes back to sleep which can take hours, i really dont want to put him in my bed at night but i desperately need some sleep, has anyone got any ideas as to why he still wakes up or what else i can try doing??

I don't know how to fix this issue but I wanted to let you know, you are NOT alone! My son also wakes several times per night. I nurse and lay him back down in his crib but he sometimes wakes again within 30 minutes. He doesn't need to nurse more at that point... just cuddle. Sometimes, I am disciplined and rock him in our chair and other times, I bring him in our bed. After an hour or so in our bed, I can transfer him back to his... IF I wake up and remember to! Good luck... my daughter slept through on her own without help from us when she was 1 1/2... I don't think my son will that early though.

Is it just the two of you, or do you have a partner? If so, I suggest getting them to put your son back to sleep. Easier said than done, of course. I was reading this topic today on BabyCenter.ca...maybe this can help you
