I've been potty training my son a couple months before he turned 2. Right now he only goes when I take him, or he tells me that he needs to go potty AFTER he goes in his underwear! I personally think kids don't really need to be fully potty trained until 3 or so. I would like my son to def be trained by 3 or else he can't go into certain classes at our church. So I figured I'd start working on it and then when he's ready he'll tell me! My son has problems going poop so we haven't done too much with that but we'll be working on it soon! About every hour, or if I see him drinking a lot of his juice, I bug him about going. He loves m&m's so we use that as a reward. If he wants one, he has to go potty first. Now when he goes, he doesn't even ask for one since he's getting use to the routine!

My daughter potty trained herself and we havent had any problems. However, her doctor warned me that this is still a young age to be fully potty trained and to expect relapses. He said to mke sure she is really ready to be potty trained- boys generally take longer to be ready to be potty trained. He also said to stick with the training and she would pick it up again hen she is ready. We have been lucky, but his advice applies to you too I think.
Good luck!
