How much & how often

My son is 2 days shy of 8 weeks and eats 4-5 oz every 3-4 hours. He was in the NICU for his first month & after he was a week old the neonatologist added 1 teaspoon of rice cereal for every ounce in his bottle and he said to continue. He also said BeechNut is the best to do this with cause it is VERY fine so it won't clog up the nipple.

My baby is 7 weeks old and eats 4 oz every 3 1/2 hours during the day and 4 or 5 hours at night.

My baby boy is 11 weeks old and drinks 4-6oz every 2-3 hours. I'm thinking of starting to add cereal to his fomula, 'cause he doesn't seem to be full after drinking. Here in Curacao we are used to adding cereal to the milk as soon as the baby turns 8 weeks.

My little boy is 10 weeks old (born 09/09/09) and he drinks 180mls 5 times every 24 hours. In Australia they do not let us feed with cereal until they are at least 5 months so if he is unsettled I offer a bottle.

my girl is 9wks, and eats 4-5oz every 2 to 2.5 hours...i cant wait till she is old enuf for cereal =)

My son is 9 weeks and he drinks 6oz of formula every 3 to 4 hours.

my baby is 8 weeks... I feed her when she is hungry. I don't believe in schedules, or waking a baby up to eat....I am breastfeeding so I don't know "how much" she eats...but generally she eats once an hour....except at night. Or if she is sleeping during the day...each feeding takes 30 to 40 mins. Sometimes she only wants to eat for 20 mins. Each baby is diffrent though and has diffrent needs.

have you tried putting rice in his bottle? my lil boy is 7 weeks and he started getting rice at 5 weeks the bottles was just not feeling him up, he now has 6oz with a scoop of rice in every bottle every 4 to 5 hours!

My daughter's feed differs everyday. She is 2.5 mths and sometimes she is very hungry during the day and at times she is not in the mood. Generally 120 ml every 2-3 hrs is her regular diet. Each baby is different. If your baby is crying even after feeding and is not pacified by anything then you need to offer more milk. Also, keeping track of how often and how much she spits up will decide the baby's milk intake.

my son is nine weeks he has 180ml of formula every 5 hours but sometimes he is hungry so he might have an extra bottle n in between feeds i supplament him with water if he is still hungry
