Must be nice that all these people are telling you how they only gained about 20 lbs and have lost it all and more. Obviously you are asking how much was gained AFTER the baby. Too bad not everyone has the same type of body or metabolism. Coming from a person that has always been skinny in her life (and very sports oriented), I am having the worst time with my weight (NEVER has been a problem). I gained over 50 lbs while pregnant and had a c-section as well. I lost almost half with the c-section but can still stand to lose another 25-30 lbs. It has been extremely hard for me to see my once skinny fit body now as a saggy stretch marked mess. I breastfed, ate healthy, and am active (even though I could be more). And still I can't lose the weight. Hopefully you find something that works for you. I do hear that Zumba is very fun and everyone loves it.

i didn't gain much when i was pregnant. but has since, my son just turned one yesterday and have probably put on 30+ lbs. I even breastfeed for the first 4 months but my biggest problem was realizing i can't eat everything in site, now i just need to get back on the excerise program and lose my weight i just have no energy and am exhausted all the time. Doesn't help that my bf seems to want to force me to lose the weight which just pisses me off, so stressing me out more. I'm hoping that now that my son is sleeping through the night that i will have more energy boy i hope. Any ideas of motivation?

I had a C-section and gained 60 pounds losing 20 with the delivery. I walk our dog an hour a day and do a Jillian Micheals work out each day as well and I can't lose the weight. Lack of sleep and stress are the two reasons I can think of.... It has been so hard. My motivator is my daughter and of course myself. I am hoping that once I finish breast feeding the weight will begin to drop off. Here is hoping, our little girl turned a year today, am weening so fingers crossed the pounds will begin to go:)

I also had a rough pregnancy and was put on bedrest early on! I had my little girl 9-9-09 as a c-section. I gained around 20 lbs during pregnancy but breastfed and lost it all within 6 months, now that shes a year old Ive lost the weight from my first child also! I really think breastfeeding was a big help Im down to 108 lbs, I was 106 lbs before I ever had kids! It just takes healthy eating, and exercise!

I had a high risk pregnancy and was on bed rest all but 6 weeks, and had a c-section. I gained 37 pounds during my pregnancy.... lost 20 then gained it all back when i quit breastfeeding. I had a hysterectomy in june, so im just now starting sparkpeople.com(great, free site) and walking every morning. good luck to all of you who are in the same boat.

I am one of the few lucky people, i put on a stone during pregnancy, everyone commented, apart from my bump i had appeared to lose weight from around my face, bum, legs ... A week after having my little one i was a stone lighter and dress size smaller than my pre pregnacy size. How this happened i have no idea, i just think myself very luckly, i'm sure i wont be so lucky next time.

I gained 3st during pregnancy but i don't know where, i'm now back to more or less bar 3lbs my usual weight after a yr of breatsfeeding and loads of long walks with the pushchair, it's mainly toning now which lets be real who has time for that....the secret is to eat healthy regularly and keep active. And the bonus of breastfeeding is you can eat cake and not have to walk extra miles to keep the pounds off...:-)

I gained 40 during the pregnancy had an emergancy c- section and lost about ten. now im back up there. before i got prego i was 115 and now im at 140 soo.. i must agree i think stress is a big cause of that too though. the best thing to do is be happy and do everything possible to work your body out. not necessarily exercising everyday and yada yada yada but take the baby for a walk once an evening maybe. or exercise at the gym if you like it. dont always go by pounds though. because once you begin to get muscle tones back you may gain some thats because of course everyone says it "muscle weighs more than fat" haha. be happy be healthy be active thats the best advice i can give. and i should try my best at it too because i dont seem to be losing anything... :(

I had a rough pregnancy and delivered by c-section and breastfed for the 1st yr and could not understand why I did not lose all of my weight. At Chloe's 1st Birthday and no longer breastfeeding I started to lose the weight. I still have some weight to lose, but I am def losing the weight now. I think it all depends on your situation and how healthy you eat, how active you are and ofcourse your stress level.

During my pregnancy, I gained 37 pounds. After my daughter was born, I lost a lot of it fairly quickly, which I credit to healthy eating and breastfeeding. In January, with 10 pounds to go, I got sick and lost more than I needed to. I went down to 105 and am now just starting to get it all back. I'm at 113 and would like to get back to 120.
