mine started cereal at 4 months (after being told to by his dr) he now has 2 tbsp of cereal in the morning and 3 tbsp before bed...around lunch he has veggies (we havn;t started fruit yet) he also has 4 7oz bottles a day (@ 8,12,4 &8 then sleeps through the night). hope this helps a bit!

I give my 5 month old 2 tbsp of ceareal or oatmeal in the morning and at night and an 8 oz. bottle every 3 hours thruout the day...he doesnt like jarred food yet so here and there we give him some jar food instead of cereal/oatmeal be4 bed....after his cereal/oatmeal it varies 4 when he is ready 4 a bottle but when he is ready I give him a 7 oz. bottle.

My son feeds at 6, 9, 12, 3, 5:30 & 7:30 - 9 and 5:30 are "meals" - Tbsp cereal and 1/2 jar food - he actually prefers string beans over everything else! I know around 6 months yogurt comes in and then the formula amount goes way down...

Mine is still only being breast fed an she'll be 6 months next week. She isn't insterested at all at this time about trying cereal. To start your baby on cereal, my doctor suggested to start twice a day, one cereal feeding for breakfast and one for lunch, about an hour after breastfeeding. She said to start with a small portion of 1 teaspoon (which isn't much at all in my opinion) But I guess you have to start them slowly.

But other than cereal, I try to feed my baby every four hours and it seems to be working and setting in a better routine for us. I'll feed her at 8:00, then noon, then 4:00 pm, 8:00 (at bedtime) and then she wakes up between 11:00 and midnight for another feeding. That seems to work well :)
