My daughter will be 1year old on 11.09.2010 but since she has been born ive had about 4night full sleep,i have tried everything from stopping naps to bathing her at a specific time to help her unwind.
I started off by giving her breakfast, dinner and pudding and she was waking up every 2hours from 12 until 6 in the morning for a bottle.
Then i spoke to the health visitor and she told me to give her breakfast two dinners and a pudding i also added a rusk and milk before bedtime which helped a bit by making her wake up every 3hours.
I have now tried everything i can think of and the suggestions of close friends and relatives and still nothing.
any ideas ?????

When I took my son off his midnight feeds I would just give him a sip of water from my bedside cup. Then lay him back down (we cosleep) and off to bed he'd go. When he doesn't want to go back down I just keep laying him back down, sometimes this results in fussing, but EVENTUALLY he quits fighting it and lays down. I won't turn lights on, except my super dim bedside light...but the TV that stays on is considerably brighter anyhow ;) He has been off midnight feeds since 7 mos and rarely if ever wakes for a drink of water anymore. He goes to bed between 8-10p and will sleep until 7:30-9a. He sips on 10 ozs of milk (MAYBE will drink half) has cold cereal for breakfast, snack of avail. fruit/crackers, either naps 1 2 hr nap 12-2p or 2 30min-1.5hr naps @ 11a & again 3-4p, has lunch of chicken soup? spaghetti? whatevers leftover from prev. nights dinner, snack, dinner...9 oz bottle @ bedtime. He hasn't gained weight very well since not taking milk during day so I'm hesitant to take away that last bottle :( Good luck though!

my son gets milk at 7, breakfast at 730. nap 930-11. lunch at 11, snack at 1, nap 130-230, supper at 430, snack and milk at 630, bath at 7 and bed at 730 where hell then sleep till 7am. i keep him VERY busy through the day as we never spend a day in the house fully. we do parks, walks, we play in the backyard, have tons of play dates ect. when i was tired of waking in the middle of the night for feedings i switched to (boiled) room temperature water instead of formula. he didnt care for it but he drank it. until he finally didnt want it at all anymore. i also started putting him to bed awake at 7months old and since then hes started sleeping nearly 12 hours. every baby is different, unforuntaly and none of that may work for you. his bathtimes are every night, we use the johnsons bedtime bath and we follow that with the johnsons bedtime lotion. i dont know if it actually works, but it smells nice and weve done it from the very beginning. i found a routine worked well with him. ihope you figure something out! and soon! you need your sleep
