My son Raven has had a hard lump behind his ear since he was a few weeks old. It doesn't seem to bother him, but I keep forgetting to ask his doctor about it. It's about an inch and a half behind his ear, and has remained the same size since it showed up. He's been sick once, but it came up long before that and hasn't gone away on its own. Anyone heard of this?

My doc said they are just little fat deposit lumps, my son and my daughter both have had them. They are absolutely normal, feel your own head, and find out if you have some too! I know I have!

my son is 7.5 months and has a couple of them, 1 on one side and 2 on the other. they have been there since he was born.dr's arent worried though and neither am i really i think the worst that could happen is they grow to big and have to be removed. i am seeing his paed on the 29th to get them checked out again. my friends daughter had the same thing and they decided to leave it but by the time she was 2 it had gotten to big and they had to remove it..

Same here, my daughter had the same thing after she was born but it went away after a few weeks. I would definitely ask the dr if its not gone by now.

My doctor told me it was a lymph node. Perfectly normal and nothing to worry about.
