My 6 months 4 weeks baby is not having enough water, she is passing hard poop... what shuls i do?

i had the same problem with conner,he hates the taste of water and jucies straight up. my doc said to mix prune juice and their milk together sometimes the jucies are to strong for the baby to like. so i started mixing them once or twice a day and havent ha a problem since

hi rikki, we get livoluk syrup here for babies and my daughter digested that too! : ) however, as now it summers and tends to get pretty hot, she has started having some water. Also I realised that I was feeding her apple sauce everyday which was quite binding and making her poop hard. The day I stopped the apple sauce, she is doing better. My baby is on formula as well as breastmilk.

My daughter never liked water either. But one day I tried Ice water in her bottle and she loved it. I think she also loved it because it felt good on her gums.

My little man has trouble too, Ive tried everything he is breastfed and now has 3 meals daily he's 7 months, Ive tried prunes, orange juice, prune juice nothing worked he was in so much pain passing his poos. Ive got some lactulose from the doctor which is making his poo much softer and easier for him, i just hope that he will be better when he comes off it....good luck.

Hey there ! Since u r from india...try giving her water melon and musk melon juice. Its very hot these days with the summer in full swing....even my daughter has hard poop, i therefore give her ghiya (bottle gourd) every day. it helps to pass on the poop easily. U can make kheer out of it or simply give her juice. hope it helps!

Our dr has us get the dark Kyro syrup. It works in minutes. Only give them like 1 tsp a bottle though for one day. You wont have a problem for like another week

not sure they sell it where you live but we use coloxyl infant drops works well but i would also try to give bubby as much fruit pure as posible....not sure if your little one is formula fed but that can also play a big part depending on what formula you are using our son is on nan ha gold stage one for this very reason its easy to digest and we have had no issues after changing to this formula :) good luck

I would say to try prune baby food, or pediatite.
