My baby doesn't sleep through the night at all!

i have to agree that a routine schedule helps baby know what to expect and sleep better! my almost 5 month old sleeps the whole night when we keep our normal routine...if he sleeps too much in the day or we've come off track during the day he's either up all night or most of it.

at the age of 2 weeks my daughter was already sleeping almost all night jus waking up for night feeds but still her eyes wud be closed. i would suggest bathing her atleast an hour and half before the time u want her to sleep after the bath give her a good feed with a dim light in a quiet room and make sure she doesnt nap for a long time during the day especially after 3pm. and make it a routine. babies tend to be more content after baths. good luck tannah put herself into a routine. she sleeps at 10pm and wakes up at10 am

I believe it is all about the schedule!!! i keep my son on the same schedule everyday... he eats at the same time everyday. Also when he was younger i would try an put him to bed right before i went to bed which was late and let him take a cat nap like an hour before bed.. this was my biggest mistake he would only sleep from 1130 until 6! but now i put him to bed at 8 and he sleeps until 7 sometimes 730 !!... also before he goes to bed i give him cereal with 1st food bananas mixed in then i give him a bath and then his bottle.i dont think any baby is really ready for food it is new and the more you do it the more they will get used to it. the bath really seems to help sooth him to sleep. also doing the same thing everyday he istn suprised and he knows what to expect.

It's completely normal for your baby to not sleep through the night yet. It's a milestone like sitting up, walking, crawling, etc, are. Just be patient. When she is ready, she will sleep through the night, tear free on her own!! Abby doesn't quite sleep through the night consistantly every night yet either. And neither did her brothers until they were close to one!!

Our family doctor also told us not to put anything but milk in a bottle, that Grace needs to learn how to eat with a spoon and if she's not ready for that, she's not ready for anything else. Hang in there!

Don't force her full of foods just to make her sleep through the night. She will sleep through the night when she is ready to.

I would like to suggest a book that has been very helpful to me. It is called Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child. My daughter has been sleeping throught the night for a long time and it is thanks to the guidance of this book. One common mistake is to keep baby up too long, in the hopes that he/she will sleep better. Instead, if you work on not letting your baby stay up for more than 2 or 2.5 hours at time, they will probably start sleeping better. Good luck!

mine doesn't either...all babies are different...just be patient she will figure out her sleep schedule when she is ready...it does drive ya nuts though doesn't it
