If it's just minor, and she's old enough, a spoonful of honey can be very soothing.

We alternated children's tylenol and advil. Works like a charm with the pain. The inflammation needs to resolved. If it is really bad, take her to your MD. They may prescribe a puffer or ventilator or something. We also had my son checked because strep throat was going around and that requires an antibiotic.
