My daughter is 15 weeks old and has been sleeping through the night (8pm till 7am) for about 6-7 weeks now, however the last three nights has woken for a night feed does anyone have any theories as to why all of a sudden she is doing this??? i havent changed anything that i can think of.

thanks everyone for your help and suggestions and sharing. as of last night my girl is sleeping 8pm till 7am again three nights in a row after i adjusted her feeds a bit. thanks again and merry xmas.

My little one did the same thing. Her doc said it could be a growth spurt. Also could be teething and the discomfort from it is waking her.

My son has been doing the same thing. Up until three nights ago, he would sleep from 1030 at night until 9am. The last few nights, he's started waking up at 4a and a few times after. I'm pretty sure it's a growth spurt, but he also seems to have some teeth setting as he's always gnawing on something.

I promise you good things are in store! It only means she is about to do something amazing! OK - perhaps not amazing - but it will be amazing to YOU! Kids often disrupt their schedule when they are about to have a growth spurt or accomplish something new like rolling over or something like that. Expect it to keep happening. With kids, schedules change constantly, especially during the first year because they are constantly learning new things. Keep an eye open for it! I'm guesing it's going to be rolling over!

thanks crystal that is what i thought that it might be a growth spurt. zahara is on bottled breastmilk and her feed size is according to her weight so she takes 170mls atm in a feed. ive just only recently boosted it so i may need to re-calculate it and re-adjust it.

She may be having a growth spurt? It's hard to say but perhaps she is not getting enough during the day, are you feeding her til she is full?
