not grabing stuff yet

Bella-rose is 14 weeks old and still not grabbing stuff. Her fists are always clenched and she only seems to open them when im washing her, (even then its a mission to pry them open) She not even really batting at stuff yet. It just seems like she should be doing this stuff by now. I have a 5 year old son and i can't really remember when he was grabbing at things but I'm sure it was before 3 months. I was just wondering if other babies along the same age were doing this yet?

Hi Petrina. My baby girl (4 months) started grabbing at about 3.5 months and now she has found the little hairs on the back of my head and they hurt! :-)
She also found her Daddy's armpit hair the other day too! Ouch!
Once they start they dont stop!

bella-rose is about the same she was born the 30th and shell only grab me when i pick her up, but i don't think she's meaning to. Thank you to everyone whose posted :)

My little guy just found his hands about a week ago. He was born the 28th. He'll sometimes grab onto my shirt when I breastfeed him, but so far that's the extent of his reaching and grabbing.

my daughter will grab stuff and she was born sept 27th she has been for some time now. and she can roll from her back to her belly and back. she has discovered her tongue it is so funny because she constantly had her tongue out now. and the other day she managed to give herself a hicki mark on her am from sucking on it haha

my daughter just started and she is 3 1/2 months and she just started to roll over one way onto her back and can't roll back over.

My son is the same age and not grabbing either. His hands are still clenched too. I'll put things in his hands and he can hold them but doesn't seem to care really. I think it's around the 3 month mark that they are supposed to start holding stuff. Some babies doing it sooner and some later. I was at a check up with his doctor today and she didn't seemed concerned at all.

My guy recently started licking and chewing on his hands. She said that was him starting to figure out textures and he'd probably notice his feet next and this would all coincide with grabbing and holding things.
