my son born Sept 15 does the same thing....he actually crawls not the "army crawl"....he says "dada" all the time and is standing up on any surface above his waist....he crawls from room to room and sometimes he will follow me to the kitchen gate....he still hasnt cut his first teeth yet and if you hold his arms he will "walk"

my daughter was born on the 17th Sept 09 and is now crawling..i thought she was gonna walk before she crawled as shes been standing holding onto things since she was 5.5months now...ive just taught her how to get down from the sofa and bed safely..she sez the odd word but i wouldnt say shes had her first word yet that she keeps on repeating, she can sit up unaided really well, its definately a great age

Hi. My son was born September 21st. He hasn't started to crawl yet, but is so near... he gets himself in to the position but then sprawls out onto his front like he's sky diving! No rush though, but he gets really frustrated. His first one was 'mamam' but now it's 'dadad' and he now cries for his dad when he leave, so cute. But i'm sure it's because he's fed up of seeing my face every hour of the day ha ha ha.
Is anyone having trouble sleeping still? My child doesn't sleep all the way through still and wakes up crying!:(

keira was born sept 10 2009..she has been crawling for two months and been pulling herself up on things for about 2 weeks now..she has 3 teeth..she can say dada, mumma, bubba, she waves and says tata, and says ta when she wants things..she will sit and dance to music and loves the family cat and dog..and if you say to her "give dadda (or mumma) kisses she puts her head on your head and cuddles in and says "awwwww" bt doesnt actually give kisses haha..cnt believe our babies are nearly a year old!!

My son was born September 16, 2009 and since he saw a 1 year old boy standing and talking on Easter, he's been doing the same. Since about the second week of April, he's been pulling himself to stand in his crib, on your leg, on the couch, even using a pillow or his piano toy! No teeth yet, and no words, just yells "aahh" a lot. When he's really tired and wants me, he'll make lots of sounds that form a sentence. It's adorable. He's a GREAT sitter, and is attempting to stand up in the tub - which is very scary right now!! He can follow me and the cats around the house in his walker which is so much fun to watch. He will even get excited and walk to the living room to see the Spongebob theme song (it's the only part he really likes to watch).

my son was born 28th sept, hes been saying mum for a few months now but still only says it when hes sad/whinging, cant wait for a new word! He is rocking back and forth really well on his hands n knees but no forward motion yet. He can also clap hands, army crawl forward and occasionally whistle! Im sure ill be seeing a tooth or two any day now

My daughter was born on 9/27/09 She has been crawling since the 28th of April, she's been sitting by herself since January. She can walk as long as she is holding someones hands. She only has one tooth :[ Hopefully soon we will hit the walking stage. All these babies are so close to their first birthdays!

My little man was born Sept 1, 2009. He has started pulling himself up in bed alone, does the army crawl along with the rocking back and forth with the odd normal crawl. He sits by himself and has said dada, baba, and mama (when he is crying). He also cut his first tooth today :D

My son was born Sept 5th, he crawls really fast all over the place. He can pull himself up to a standing position, and already climb up on to things that are knee high. He's been saying mama and dada for a month now. Third tooth is in. Life is sure busy at my house!

My daughter was born on 9-5-09. She is crawling, standing on her own (does a squat and then just stands up) for a while she can stand on her own. Forthe first time she did a side walk while holding the coffee table. She has not said any real words yet. She makes sounds like hum? and hi/hey.

My son was born on Sept 24th. He can't crawl yet - he can sit and play really well by himself. He does get off balance once in awhile and tips over, then he goes to his tummy. I must say though - he is NOT a fan of tummy time AT ALL! I have seen him wiggle around on the floor but he seems to be the most active in his bed. I can lay him one direction and he is in every position imaginable when I go to get him in the morning. No signs of crawling yet. He is also still toothless at this point - none in sight as of yet! He has been drinking from a sippy cup and also a sippy cup with a straw for a couple months now. He like to feed himself puffs and biscuits too. Waiting patiently for him to become more mobile.....I'm hoping any day now! Also - he has been saying baba for quite some time, but no mama or dada yet.

Analeigh was born Sept 5th. She has been saying dada and mama for a few weeks now and a few times she said daddy =) She is able to pull herself up to a standing position in her crib now, which scares me lol, and she pulls herself up and practically uses us as a jungle gym. She is still working on the crawling but hasn't made it to an army crawl yet =(

My son was born 9/5 and is not crawling yet. He rolls all over the place to get things he wants and places he wants to go. He has started to push his feet up while he is on his tummy, which makes me think the is thinking about crawling, but hasn't started yet.

My boy was born Sept 4th too! He is doing the army crawl a lot and even some real crawling. not saying any words yet. He is getting his 3rd tooth in and not liking it!

wow, you are all so lucky. My baby was born sept 6th and she cannot say mama or dada, she can sit up for a few minutes before she slouches, not even close to crawling, or doing anything else that was mentioned here boooooooo. Im hoping she is just far behind cause she was 6 weeks early

Hi Ashley, My son Ashton was born 5.5 weeks early and he doesnt seem to be too far behind. he does the Army crawl, his Papa calls it his combat crawl LOL, and he also spins on his tummy. he also does the roll thing too. he will dive on you if he is in the sitting position and you are next to to him. he also tries to pull himself up to stand. hes a great eater too!!

My Sept 17th little man has been crawling for about 2 weeks now, pulls himself to stand on everything available, has his 2 bottom teeth, and babbles a lot, without meaning yet, though I'm sure the dogs name will be the first clear word!

Lily born 1st of Sept can crawl sit up from crawling and back into it. She also pulls herself up on furniture and walks along it whilst pulling everything off lol.

my daughter was born on September 7. She says hi or hey sometimes and mama when she's upset. When she babbles it usually sounds like baba. She doesn't crawl, but scoots backwards. We can put her in crawling position and she'll rock, but doesn't know how to move yet. She sits on her own and can stand while holding on to something. She'll even reach for toys and right herself. She's got two teeth and I feel like there's one more coming soon. She also gets a kick walking while someone is holding her hands. I guess she'll walk before she crawls!

Wow all these mommies should be so proud of their babies and how fast they grow!!!
My active, over-achiever has been crawling (on all 4s and hands/feet) since 5 months. She has been taking 3 steps at a time here lately. She pulls up on everything and explores everywhere. She is getting her 5th tooth. Her first word was "hi" and now she says "mama, bubba". She is always smiling and giving kisses that end in a bite. I wouldn't trade these moments for anything.

My son, Ayden was born Sept. 2, 2009. He does all kinds of new things now! He sits by himself, pulls himself up to stand, walks with assistance (like holding a toy or someones hand), climbs on everything (hes like a monkey!) starting to eat more solid foods, somewhat feeds himself dry foods (like cheerios) and lots more! Hes very curious and smart! Figures things out quickly (sometimes too quick). He also stands in his crib and jumps up and down! (scares me) but he doesnt talk yet (like say dada or anything) He blabbers alot and has a great personality already! I'm so amazed how fast time is going and how big he is getting already!

My son was born on Sept. 18th and he's been crawling since March & he's pulling himself up on everything. He'll walk if you hold his hands and move across the room. =) Oh and he started saying "dada" and "hi" last month.

My son was born September 1st and says dada and baba but he wont crawl! We put him on his knees and he rocks and then crys. We have a car that we push him around in and he will hold on the the sterring wheel and stand himself up but that's about it. He just started clapping and has his two bottom teeth. We've been giving him 2nd stage foods and puffs and he loves it! He watched everything we eat and we've given him some crust and a taste of just a few things at this point. He love to jump! He's been jumping like a nut in his jump-a-roo since the day he turned 3 months. He loves going for walks in the stroller and loves to splash in the tubby. He sticks his tonge out when I ask him where it is, he snorts when I ask him where his nose is and I've been pointing at his eyes so he's starting to blink when I ask him where his eyes are.

My baby boy was born 9/1 He crawls, pulls up, and "walks" on all fours lol. He says dada and makes some other mumbling noises. He's very mobile, he can get himself from one room to another. He also just learned to feed himself with both his hands and a spoon. we haven't seen any teeth yet but the drool says they're coming!

my daughter was born Sept. 7, start crawling since 5 months old, by 5,5 months she sits unsupported. now she can crawl in high speed! pulled herself up since 6 months old, now cruising along the furniture and 2 days ago she was standing without any support, holding her book with her 2 hands for about 5 seconds :) clapping hands, says mama, climb up the stairs, feed herself finger food, drink only from the sippy cup. move things around (which make my house messy!!!). she would come to me whenever i call her name, 2 bottom teeth. I love her very much!

My daughter born 9/9/09 scoots/lounges/crawls- call it what u may, but she moves around pretty quickly. She sits well for prolonged periods and maneuvers tummy to sit and stand. She says Mama (mostly cries it actually) and Dada and Arrr for her brother Aryan....she also actually waves bye, it is the cutest thing to see...still no teeth, but I have a feeling it will erupt pretty soon.

My son was born Sept. 24th! He was saying "dada" about a month ago, now he's on "baba" and he only say's it when he wants his bottle, which amazes me! He has been crawling and pulling himself up for about a month also, so I think he will be walking about 1 month or 2. He is my first so everything he does amazes me!

My daughter crawls forwards backwards army crawls and can sit up has figured out how to pull herself into a sitting postion from all fours and can stand on her own still working on pulling herself to standing . she says lots of words in arabic and english

Parker was born Sept. 30, and she has been crawling since she was 4 months! Now she is cruising on the furniture! She also just said her first word a few days ago, it was cat! lol

babies are so cute at this age they are so interesting my son 25 sept has just mastered the walker he scoots from 1 side of the room to the other looking for mischeif to get into. he has been sitting unasisited for the last 3 weeks and does an amazing backward crawl. he is yet to master the coordination of the front crawl. it was only a few short weeks ago he couldnt get his tummy off of the floor. it wont be long til hes running around. i wanted him to stay a baby baby not likely though. my first born was walking at 9.5 months and didnt start crawling until after he mastered that. i get words like yumm and dada from him at the moment

My girl born September 18th has been crawling since she was 5 months! I couldnt belive it. She also stands holding on to furniture and can walk along the furniture and she only 7 months! My son never did this!

My son was born 16th september and he can say dada, thathatha, tata, atha etc no mama...he does cry and say mmmmmaaaa but thats it! He also doe sthe army crawl after two weeks of moving around just rolling over..he gets on all fours and rocks back and forth and then goes back to army crawl...very cute to watch.

My son was born 17 Sep and he's not crawling yet. Can spin around in a small area, but no army crawls. Can stand if I put him in a standing position and can sit unaided.

My daughter was born 28 September and has been hands and knees crawling for about 4 weeks. She is also pulling herself up on the furniture into standing position and cruising around the furniture. We just got her a baby walker on the weekend and she is flying around the hallways in it! No sign of saying dada or mumma yet. It is cute to watch her crawl from wherever she in the house to you and grab hold of your legs and pull herself up.

Matilda was born on 9/9, she started crawling at 6 months and got her first tooth the same day she now has 5 teeth, crawls too well for my liking and is very quick she sits herself up and is pulling herself up on everything and is just starting to attempt a furniture walk. she has been saying dadada, nannan and yeah for a while and makes lots of other sounds but no mummum yet. Matilda is in care with other kids during the week i think this may have encouraged her to get moving..

My son was born September 29-today he is 7 months old. For the past couple of weeks he's been trying to crawl. He doesn't quite do the commando thing; instead he grabs stuff to pull himself along. He will also get on all fours and rock like a lizard. Sometimes he makes it a couple of paces forward, and other times he ends up splat! He has been babbling for months now. Sometimes it sounds like he says dada or mum, but since it's not consistent, I am not calling it a word yet. Let's see. He can also stand if you hold on to him, but he doesn't really try to walk. He does bounce, and he loves that. He will also go after toys that are out of his reach. Sorry my post's not very organized!

My daughter was born Sept 26 2009 and chatters constantly but nothing recognizable as yet. We have been trying to practice 'dada' to surprise him one day...She doesn't crawl yet, she just sticks her rump in the air once in awhile, pushes up with her arms and gets frustrated. She loves to walk (while you hold her hands of course) and has been pulling herself (she grabs your fingers) from a laying down position to a seated then standing position for awhile now. Congrats on your son's progress... : )

my son was born 9/15 and he can sit and roll over but that is about it, he has two teeth and says mama when he wants to breastfeed lol he's also about 20lbs which his Dr. says it might be the reason why he's not very mobile, if he wants a toy out of his reach he rolls on his back and pushes with his feet and then rolls onto his stomach to check if he can reach it, it's pretty hilarious....I'm jealous that all others around his age can crawl and stand, but every baby is unique and different lol

Blair was born on Sept 30 and she is sitting up on her own, she rolls, has her 2 bottom teeth, moves across the floor on her butt, does the army crawl backwards, and has almost mastered crawling, but she wants to put her feet under her once she is on her knees. she can stand holding onto things, and will attempt to walk if your holding her hands. she is much more interested in walking then crawling. and is starting to say "dada"

I know gees my daughter was born9/9 and she no where near crawling she sits up fine and rolls everywhere she needs to go 2 bottom teeth and 4 coming in on top ur right maybe in tooo much pain to crawl.

Madilyn was born Sept 9. She started army crawling at 5 months and has been crawling since 6 months. She knows the signs for "eat", "Milk", "Bath", "more", and "Please". She says, "Duck", "Bath", "Mama", "Dada", and "Bubba" (for her brother). She is pulling up on things and cruising and has taken one step but is showing more interest in crawling than walking.

Martina was born on September 2nd. She army crawl, sits up, pulls herself up on a standing position, puts a phone (or remote) up to her hear, I heard her saying mom (my husband does not believe me), she says "yum" every (seriously, every) bite she takes, she gives kisses when asked, she hugs me, she has one tooth. I ADORE her!
