Baby girl has been sleeping through since she was 1.5 months old. If she doesnt get her 8 hours of sleep she gets cranky. She is 6 months now. She eats 7 ounces of formula.

Since day one, I had a very strict routine for her (Thanks to my mom. Said to me once, if you like to sleep at night, do this...of course I've adjusted it, but it is still the same)

She gets woken up every morning at 7:15 am regardless of what time she fell asleep at the night before.

7:30 am feeding (Feeding every 3 hours, takes her about 15-20 minutes to finish a bottle)
Play time 30-40 minutes. If she is tired then less.
I put her in bed. If she wants her sucky (usually not) then I give it to her, make sure there is no noise, pull the curtains, close the door. She whines for abou 15 minutes then sleeps until her next bottle at 10:30am.

Lunch time she gets cereal and her bottle (the piggy)
play time and bed. More lively in the afternoon.

Last bottle is at 10pm every night. no play time during the changing or after the bottle. I watch tv but I avoid eye contact. She tends to giggle and laugh and smile if I look at her. lol. I cuddle with her, but no talking. Then bed time.

If she cries, I let her cry, but no more then 20 minutes. I go in and check on her. I dont pick her up. I check her diaper (if she needs changing I change her but no play time and I use a dim light.) If its because of teething, I use a bit of oragel now.

Her crib is in my bedroom, but not for very much longer. She does the cobra yoga position in bed to look for me and then starts smiling as if to say "LETS PLAY!"

My mom brags to the doctor of course. Grandmas are like that. Brings in the pictures too. He has told her that a lot of parents have problems with baby's not sleeping the night, and I've heard horror stories from my neighbor that her 2 year old STILL DOESNT SLEEP THE NIGHT!!!

Doctor says, stick to that routine (no play time, bed time) they will cry for the first week, sometimes non stop, but stick with it and be brave. The crying will decrease and finally stop. Takes a solid month or so, but well worth it in the long run.

I've been nothing but lucky. With the routine, I know now if its tummy pain, teething, hungry, sleeplessness, or just "i wanna play", because of that routine.
Baby girl has had NO COLIC! just cranky very rarely and a bit of gas very very rarely. And now it's even better since I started her on solids.

Even her immunizations have been a blessing. No fever no crankies. She is a poster baby.

Good luck!
