Sleeping through the night!

Hi ..
my Branda also sleep through all the night. my first child, Brian has not like her . i m also wonder for that case. Is it coz of the different sex?

We do the babywise program and that is feeding every 3 hours in the day even if I have to wake them and then keeping them awake after I feed them for a few minutes to learn that it is day time and then I change and feed them at about 10:30pm in there sleep. I don't nurse them at night just give them bottles. After that I let them go as long as they will. Not as long as I would like yet but they are only about 10lbs and I think babies usually don't sleep through the night until they are 11-12lbs. Hopefully soon! If babies don't get enough sleep during the day they will be so over tires they won't sleep!

My son usually falls asleep at around 10pm, but this just a nap. He wakes up about an hour later and is wide awake until about 1am. He then sleeps until about 4 or 5am and wakes up to nurse. He then falls asleep for another hour or two. He's now 3 1/2 months and I'm wondering when he'll sleep through the night. He is a hungry baby and nurses every couple of hours still. Wondering if I'm doing something wrong?

My son has been sleeping through the night since he was 10 weeks old (he is 13 weeks old now). He goes down at 9:00-9:30 and doesn't wake until around 7:30. I don't know what I've done to prompt this, but I'm not complaining... I heard somewhere, and I don't know if this is true or not, but a baby is supposed to start sleeping through the night once they hit 11 pounds.

heya, my babies 10 weeks now and was starting to sleep through the night from about 7 weeks. if your bby wakes up during the night dont speak to him/her and keep lights low and b realy consistent when putting him/her to bed. they will start to understand mummy means buisness hehe xxx

How did you start a routine for her? Did you just try to keep her up during the daytime so she would be sleepier at night? My son usually goes to sleep for the night around 9:00 or so and will wake up anywhere around 1-3 and then goes back to sleep for another 2-3 hours. i really don't mind getting up because he's only up for about an hour. I change his diaper and feed him and then he falls right to sleep. I also read that some moms are putting cereal in their bottles to help them sleep more or to take away one of their feedings when they wake up. Any thoughts?

my little man is 10 weeks and not sleeping through yet he goes down between 10-11pm then hes awake around 2am for a feed then again at 5 then he gets up about 9 me and my partner take shifts so we both only have tget up once i dont mind though :-)

Mine both go to bed at about 11pm but still wake up from about 4am onwards, I have tried a dummy last night and it seems to work but it did mean I was up and down putting it back int their mouths as when I offer the bottle they only take about 1-2oz and go back to sleep so I tried the dummy instead. Every baby is different and as long as they are doing OK I am not going to fret about them sleeping through the night.

My daughter goes to bed around 9 pm and wakes up around 5 am for feeding and then goes back to sleep until 9 or 10 pm. I consider myself lucky. She was waking every 3 hours when she was first born. I give her baby food in her last bottle for the night to keep her fool.

My little guy usually goes to bed around 8pm-9pm, wakes up around 1am....then again at 4am...and then usually gets up for the day at like 7am. I'm also still waiting for him to sleep through the night! Luckily my husband and I take "shifts" so we only have to get up once each!

My baby has been sleeping through since he was about 7 weeks, and I never followed a schedule as such either. Normally his last feed would be between 11pm to 2am, then he would sleep through until around 8 -11am. Sometimes he wake up for about 1 minute, and goes back to sleep by himself, so it's lucky for me and my husband!

Wow...thanks for all your responses..still waiting for "the night"! He is very "unfussed" when he wakes up in the night...so its not too bad..but it would be nicer to have a full night's sleep!

Dont' worry mine's not sleeping through yet either. He goes down anywhere from 8-9pm, feeds around 2-3am, feeds around 6-7am and then if fully awake by 9-10am. We have been on a scheduled routine for a while so I don't think it really matters routine or no routine, some babies do it quicker than others. :)

My daughter was sleeping through the night at 9 weeks. I didnt do anything to get her on a "schedule" she just got on one on her own. She falls asleep at 11:30pm (when I got to bed) and wakes up at 9am. Every once in a while she will get up earlier to eat, but shes pretty consistent now. Just hang in there. I hear more moms saying it took longer than 9weeks than ones who did it that young. I read a book called BabyWise...I didnt go by what it said, but I took some tips. That may have helped. :)

My daughter goes down around 9pm and wakes at about 8.30-9am so vwe are really lucky... but not all babies are the same it just takes time i think...

my son is now 11 weeks and is sleeping thru the night. he goes to sleep between 10:45 and 11 and doesnt wake up til atleast 7 or 8 am. he is amazing i am so in love with my little man!

My daughter is now almost 11 weeks old and has been sleeping through the night since she was 5 weeks. We put her down around 11pm and she sleeps till around 8 am. I think some baby's just start sleeping through earlier then others...you can't compare

My son is 10 weeks old, and not sleeping through the night yet. He goes down at 9pm every night and he doesnt cry at all when i put him down. He will wake up anywhere from 100-300am and again at 300-500 and fully awake at 700am. He is doing really well I think, and goes back to sleep no problem. Once for a feed I think is really good!!
