I had boy girl twins so we had to come up with two names. We chose Declan (from a character on neighbours) but struggled with a girls name we agreed on. finally the day i went into labour my partner agreed with my childhood dolls name, Isabella.

it wasnt until a couple weeks later someone said it was the most popular name for 2009 (thanks TWILIGHT!) So just wondering what u named your babies and if there's any other isabella and declans??

My son is named Jak after a video game character. The game is called Jak and Daxter from Playstation 2 and it's pronounced Jack. We call him Jak-jak, like from The Incredibles.

My daughters name is Marina Razlyn. We just fell in love with the name Marina and my husband liked the name Roselyn. But my husbands name is Raziel but everybody calls him Raz, So we agreed that Razlyn spelled this way was more unique

Our 3 year old daughter is Aurora Jane (after my husband's great aunt and second name a shortening of my first name).

Our 7 month old son is Emilio Cruz (first name because we liked it and it had a Spanish sound as my hubby is Filipino and his second name is my hubby's second name).

Our son is Nicholas James. Several of the men in my DH's family are named James so that is how we decided on that. My husband picked Nicholas and we both just really liked it. It was easy. Now if we had had to pick a girl's name we would have been in trouble cuz we couldn't agree on any girl's names.

my daughter born 9-5 is Isabella Jean. when we found out we were having a girl we first liked the name emma, but when my partner realized it was one of the top names of 2008 he decided he didnt like it anymore, some how we landed on Isabella (which fits her perfectly) and i just think its funny how that is now one of the top names. Jean after her nanas middle name

I have a 4 year old Toby Graham, Toby wasn't very popular at the time and is starting to make a comeback. I chose Toby as I heard it not long before he was born and when he arrived it just seemed to suit him, Graham was my maiden name.

I have a 7 1/2 month old girl we called Jessica Ellen. I had no idea how popular Jessica actually is. I probably wouldn't have chosen it otherwise but it really suits her too. Ellen is for her aunty (my sister-in-law)

I like the name Isabella but I really prefer the scottish version and spelling of it Isobel.

Alana McKinley.... my huband(matthew) and i have extremely popular names, so we wanted something different. Im irish and wanted to incoporate that as well, so we went through a baby name book at 7 weeks and found alana. Matts middle name is McKinney, but was supposed to be McKinley after his grandfather so we wanted to honor his family.

I just met a Declan the other day! I had to ask her to spell it because I wasn't sure what she was saying - I have NEVER heard the name before. But I think it's pretty cool.

We named our daughter Heidi London. My first choice was Imogen (Immy) Evangeline, but my husband wasn't sold on it.

I noticed almost all the Twilight names are on the top 100 name list this year: Esme (c'mon, really?), Bella, Rosalie, Emmett, Jacob...brutal.

We have boy/girl twins as well and named them Isabella Rayne and Vance Sawyer.

We just liked the name Isabella and I have no idea where Rayne came from. We almost didn't pick the name Isabella because of the popularity thing so we had another name of Karly picked out but when she was born we both looked at her and decided she was an Isabella.

Vance came from the Dukes of Hazzard and Sawyer came from Lost. Maybe he'll be an actor when he grows up? LOL

My little guy is named Harrison Lennon Paul. For a couple of reasons. The obvious reason being that his father is a HUGE Beatles fan and the other was Harrison for his 2 great grandfathers on his fathers side (both named Harry) and the Paul because it is my partners, my father and his fathers middle name. The Lennon got thrown in last minute when he was born on 09-09-09 which was the date that the Beatles albums were all re-released.

DaKotah Jo Marie... We decided to put the h at the end because we wanted it to be different than the original spelling and then her grandfather capitalizing the k to make it even more different.. and her middle name my ex(her father) wanted it to Jo because his middle name is joseph and so is his sons and Joseph is also his fathers name.. and the marie because thats my middle name.. a few weeks before she was born her father suggested Jo Marie.. So DaKotah Jo Marie!!!!

I have twin girls, and I chose their names the day after they were born. Practically out of the blue! The names just kind of came to me after meeting them : ) Isabella & Brielle. I too didnt even realise it was the most popular name. I was a little disappointed because I didnt want them to be so common... but it fits them perfectly.

Lacota Ryan

Lakota is the proper spelling and it's native american for friend (native american is a huge part of me and my husband's heritage). We chose our own spelling of the name. It's pronounced like Dakota but with an L.

We chose Ryan as it is his father's middle name too.

Nathaniel my boy and Ashayla my girl. I got Ashayla out of a mag when I was 13! And Nathaniel from a tv programme I saw. I dont like common names so I made sure I had something diffrent. If we have any more children the boy would be Addison or Ashton the girl would be Skyla or Adelle. I dont think these names are common either not here in New Zealand.

We had a few ultra sounds that said we were having a baby boy, so we didn't have a girls name, "he" was suppose to be named after daddy, but since we ended up with a baby girl, my sister named her Jessica and we picked Renee...so Jessica Renee...still a JR...lol

We have 4 children. Our first is Finn which is now getting more popular but then wasnt. Our second pregnancy was identical twin girls Stella and Harper, second names from my great/grandmothers. Our newsest baby Knox has his grandfathers name as a middle name. Its such a hard decision picking names as they will last an eternity! It is nice to have the middle name mean something.

Xavier Augustus Kyle Hetrick - initials Xakh which is his nickname.
Xavier my husband picked out. Augustus because I love Rome and Italy, Kyle is my husband's middle name.

Our girl name was Stella Katherine Rose. Stella was my nickname in college. Katherine is my grandmother's middle name and she passed away when I was 3 months pregnant. Rose cause I just love that name.
