I am taking a poll to try to find out if the store brand diapers work as well as name brand, and also to see what kind of diapers everyone is using. My baby boy is 4 months old and the only kind of diapers that I have tried that have worked so far have been Pampers. I tried Huggies when he was born and recently but he soaked the diaper, clothes and anything else that was touching him. He is in a size 3. The Crusers have worked great, but I was just trying to find something a little bit cheaper. So, when do they start potty traingin?!?! LOLOL jk

We use pampers too! Like everyone else we heard that Huggies doesn't measure up, especially with boys. We also especially liked that the swaddleres had the wetness indicator, especially when he was brand new- easier to gage that he was peeing. We're in size 2 now.

We use Nature Babycare diapers and we get them at Costco.com or diapers.com. They actually biodegrade!!! My son has never had a diaper rash and he is 21 weeks old except when we ran out and used Huggies for a week. They are a great diaper and the best disposable out there for the environment. They have won numerous awards. Totally worth checking out and read the reviews.

When my son was born we tried EVERY brand there was wal-mart all the way to pampers and now I swear by pampers they are the very best in all aspects breakage to leakage. Recently, I find that when he wears anything but pampers he gets small rashes around his inner thigh... NO FUN! So pampers it is for us!

I have to respond to this comment. I have never been a real big Target shopper, but I wnt into Target a few times to just pick up some diaper wipes, moms where comming down the eisle and going right to the Target brand diapers and grabbing them up. One particular night a mom said you have to try these, they are great. I have always been one to buy the biggest box I could find. I bought the small pack of Target brand just to try. Nerdless to say I went back a couple of days latter and bought the big box, I love them and they are half the price of what I was paying. Give them a shot they are under $7.00 a pack.(the small pack last about a week). I buy the size 4, they have 124 diapers, and they last about a month for 19.98. There great. I have never been one to skimp when it comes to diapers it just is not worth it.

I use cloth diapers 50% of the time and it varies what prand of diapers. As for store brand ones, I like the Target Up & Up the best but I have only tried Wal-Mart's Parent's Choice ones. I've heard the CostCo brand ones are good too.

You have to for sure try Target brand. I was paying 23 cents per diaper using the Premium brand at Walgreens (which is still less expensive than pampers or huggies) because we loved them and Target brand are just under 17 cents per diaper!!!!!!!!!

I use Cloth Diapers and have every since birth. LOVE LOVE LOVE THEM!!! Why wouldn't use cloth? They are so much more comfy for baby. Reusable (It takes 500 yrs for 1 disposable to bio-degrade, an average baby goes through 3000 diapers a life time). Healthier for baby, don't smell like funky like disposables do. AND they save you $2000 dollars!

I am now reposting.....I used the Superstore brand faithfully, up until a little while ago anyways. They changed them, and my son was starting to wake up and his pajama pants would be wet (not soaked) around his legs, so I changed to pampers cruisers, I find that they are great for no leaking, but are really saggy even after one pee. He will be 18 months on the 14th though, so time for us to buy a potty :)

I use Parents Choice (Superstore brand) My son sleeps 9-13 hours at night, has never leaked. I pay 24.99 for a box of 104 I think, lasts a month. I also used this brand with my first born son, and again never had a leak.

I buy LUVS or target brand diapers. I like Pampers but LUVS seem to work just as well. My son is allergic to Huggies and to the Walmart kind. Just my 2cents :)

I use cloth diapers- an Australian brand called Baby Beehinds. They are FANTASTIC. I haven't had 1 leak or any diaper rash and they are easy to wash. My daughter is 4.5 months at the moment. :)

I use pampers swaddlers or parents choice(walmart brand), their both really good brands, parents choice is $3 cheaper than pampers so most of the time i buy the parents choice, but if they dont have what i need then i get the pampers, i dont have problems with leaking or anything with those two brands!

I'm on my third baby, I tried cloth diapers for the first and couldn't stand it. . . perhaps i wasn't so well informed, but after a few weeks we switched to Pampers, nary a rash on any of my kids, no leaks nothing. . . yay pampers!

We use cloth as well. Ultimately way cheaper, even if you get the all-in-ones, or bamboo (which is a little more costly but soooo soft and absorbent too). Plus if your planning on more kids, it's a one shot cost and you can use them for all your kids! http://www.bummis.com/ca/en/why-cloth.ph...
This site talks about why their better.
Good luck

I tried multiple store brands as well as various name brands and Pampers are definitely worth the extra money. I disliked all the other brands so much that I only used maybe 2 diapers before I gave them to someone else. I buy the pampers by the case at BJ's. Ends up being a lot cheaper that way.

I use Luvs and the work great. I go to the website diapers.com and buy a case of them 204 diapers size 3 for 35.99. They deliver them the next day if you order by 6pm and if you order on Sat. it comes on Monday. If you order over $49 you get free shipping. I usually order diapers, wipes, and formula from there. I save so much money it is ridiculous. I used to be a religious pampers user but I found that the Luvs work just as well for me. They sell Pampers and Huggies on the website to and you get a deal on them there too. With 3 kids it is hard to get out to the store sometimes so it is a life saver.

i swear by pampers. my mother in law bought cheap nappies (100 for like extra cheap) and they leak like crazy! pampers is the best, by far!

I don't use disposable diapers, but I wanted to take this opportunity to share with everyone how AMAZING cloth diapers are. I've been using cloth diapers ever since my three-year-old was born. In fact, I'm using the same cloth diapers she used on my four-month-old. You can't beat that price with disposables! Also, Neither of my children has EVER had a diaper rash. This is because cloth diapers are able to breath while disposables...well...don't. Now think about how many diapers you are throwing in the landfill a year added to the fact that they take a gagillion years to decompose! If you've looked into cloth but think the start up cost is too expensive...I spent about $30 buying two packs of Gerber prefold cloth diapers and $5 each on about 5-7 covers...waaaay cheaper then disposables! Finally, they are not as big of a deal to clean as some people may think. In fact, I would say I spend no less time caring for cloth diapers then I see some fellow moms spending on their disposables. I STRONGLY encourage some of my fellow mamas to at least give it a try! :)

We mostly use Huggies. I have never had a problem with them. We have had blow outs with Luvs. They just dont seem to fit around his leg holes good enough. I do like Pampers swadlers a lot too, but they are very costly. I signed up on the Huggies website so they send me coupons all the time for 2 or 3 dollars off. I have yet to pay more than $6 for a package of diapers! I think I may try the Target brand tho, after reading all these reviews!

I dont really like wm diapers or dollarstore diapers, they just seem to plasticky and not comfortable or soft enough fo my baby. i like huggies and pampers... i think pamper swaddlers are neat bc when u put the diaper on the line that goes down is yellow and then when the diaper is wet it turns blue!!!

[deleted account]

I have tried several brands (thank you free samples!) and actually like Luvs and Kroger brand thus far. I'm interested in trying out Target's store brand. The diapers that I thought were the worst: Huggie's Pure and Natural (expensive! and leaked) and Wal-Mart brand (leaked ALL the time, run small and felt like plastic). We used Pampers Swaddlers as soon as our son was born, and used 2 boxes of them until we started trying other brands. I like them, but when I have just as good of results with cheaper brands, I didn't see spending the extra money, even if they were really soft. The soft outside of the diaper isn't touching my son's bathroom area.

We're still using diapers that we received at the baby shower, so we're using all different kinds, but my favorite is Pampers. So far, we have never had any leakage problems with any diapers that we've used. I actually like some store brands better than name brand. I would go with Target brand over Luvs. I would go with Huggies over Luvs also.

I only use Pampers, Swaddlers are my favourite because they're so soft, but the Baby Dry work just as well. My son gets a horrible rash with Huggies and Parent's Choice (Walmart brand) are only good for a few hours at a time, so you're really not saving any money with the amount of diapers you use per day anyway.

But most of all, LOVE my cloth diapers!!

Use BunGenius Organics (the all in one diaper) They are awsome. Very little leaks even overnight. Plus no trash in the landfill, no forgetting to buy diapers at the store. I wish I had used cloth with my 1st baby.

We love Nature Babycare, best of the biodegradable brands, and not that much more. No nasty chemicals touching baby skin either. We're going to use BumGenius when he's a bit bigger.

I use Huggies or Pampers when we're at home, and they seem to work pretty good for her, but we do use Pampers more so at night, too, and those hold up better since she is sleeping through the night. I do buy parent's choice, but I send those to Daycare with her so I can keep the more expensive diapers at home. I have also heard that the Target brand are cheaper than the Walmart diapers and work better, but there is not a Target nearby that I can shop at as often to try them.

I use pampers swaddlers and absolutely love them. I tried huggies, kirkland, first choice, target and the best so far are pampers. Yes, they are pricier but I guess that's the price I pay for no leaks :P

Huggies are the only ones that my son does not leak through. I like the lil movers, because they don't rub his inner thighs raw since he is trying to crawl and is constantly kicking his legs.

I use Luvs, they seems to do the job jsut as well as the pampers. If you sign up online for offers, you can get a $2.50 off coupon. Out here they are like $6 or $7, then with the coupon its $5. You cannot beat that.

I tried the walmart brand & nothing but blowouts.

Pampers were good but costly.

Huggies are ok, but had some leaks.

Well good luck in your choice
