My 1st son had zero interest in crawling..he was totally content with where he was and if he couldnt reach a toy, he'd just find another and he was just a happy baby and i guess felt like he didnt need to move. He didnt crawl until 10 months and walked at 14...Aiden my 2nd baby just started crawling yesterday! He was sooo determined to get his brother lol he will be 9 months in a week. pretty much like everyone else said, now-a-days, pretty much anything is normal as long as they are developing in other areas

One of my twins is crawling, and evne pulling herself up on everything, she is standing and can sit herself up. The other twin isn't interested in pulling up on things and she tries to crawl but does more of a frog flop- she is on all fours and rocks then sort of propels herself forward and lands on her belly..it really is cute an she gets where she wants to go and she isn't sitting up on her own all that often but she does sometimes.

Last week my youngest daughter started doing this thing when she was on her stomache...she would push her legs all the way up...with her lil' baby booty in the air,she looked like a capital A...lol...Anyways she's been doing this ever since....and today got on all 4's and crawled across the living room...shes my 3rd and everytime....it's still amazing. All babies do things at their own speed. My oldest son now 5 was walking by 8 mo's and my middle daughter didn't walk til' after 1.

he is in this crawling / scooting thing, he kinda just drags himself around he picks up one of his feet and pushes off while dragging the other leg, its funny,
he sits up on his own, and pushes himself up to sit up on his own, and is starting to walk with help a lil bit but not pull himself up. but its good to know what hes not behind really

My son scoots as opposed to crawling. He really tries, just can't get his hands to cooperate with him just yet. Typically he does the snake dance to get around as of yet but he has successfully made about 2 "steps" in the crawling business a day.
My niece is 6 months older (14 months) than my son (8 months) and she started crawling shortly before her 1st Birthday and she had already taken her first steps with support before that. Her preferred method of traveling was rolling all over the place until she was about 10 months. It just depends on the child. Like it says above, I wouldn't worry about it too much as long as he/she is developing in other areas- (cause and effect, fine motor skills, etc..)

It's normal. Its kind of funny, my son wasn't really sitting up for long periods of time or crawling and then within one week he was able to crawl, sit for a long time, and put himself in a sitting position. It was weird but it happened very fast. I also know another child though that did not crawl until they were 12 months (walking at 13).

My daughter is the same. She has no interest in being on her stomach and prefers to get around by rolling all over the place. Some babies never crawl. Some walk. Some crawl for ages. As long as you are okay with your child's development and he's hitting other milestones, you're okay.

My daughter did not crawl at all she was quite happy to sit where I left her and not move. In fact my daughter went straight from sitting to walking alone and nothing in between she just got up and walked! Don't worry there is nothing wrong with your little one they all develop at different rates.

totally normal my son is crawling has been since a little over 6 months but out of 8 children in mothers group all 8 months he is the ONLY one crawling... my friends kids didnt start to crawl until 13 months which is alot later than normal but still ok... i wouldn't be worried until 10-12 months and showing no interest in moving..
