I'm 22wks 2days (due 8th July) and I had my scan a couple of weeks ago. Very exciting! Little Bean is looking healthy, and we found out that we're going to be having a bouncing baby BOY!!

I have my ultrasound on March 11. I'll be 23 weeks. :( My doctor had to go on vacation. I wanted to do a private session. It would have been 50 dollars but the hubby doesn't. He says if they can't find out the gender at this ultrasound then he wants it to be a surprise. It's been driving me nuts. I've been counting down.

Anna, this is definitely not my first. In fact, it's my 4th in 4 years! I don't feel like I need to find out because I have a girl and 2 boys already...I don't need anything to prepare for the birth.

Found out on my birthday (Feb 22, I had it planned that way : P ) that we are having a BOY! James Edward Finch is his name, and I had a feeling that it was a boy, however the chinese calender and allllll the old wives tales pointed to a girl... but he is VERY VERY much a BOY!! : ) I am due the 4th of July, however I think he is coming earlier than that... I think the doctors dates are off : )

I get my first ultrasound tonight (I'm 21 weeks, due july 1st - my b-day is the 4th lol) I can't wait to find out, I am almost sure it's a boy, The ring on a string says boy or twins (one of each), and my husband and his dad are 100% sure it's a boy, and the chinese calanders say it's a boy too, one of our friends baby girls only lets women prego with boys hold her- they saying its a boy, everything says it's a boy.....We will see tonight, if everything is wrong or right.....I am so impaitient!!!

aww Kayla that is awesome to hear! Congrats! My little girl was difficult during my ultrasound with her..the ultrasound tech joked it must be a girl because of it lol and he was right. We'll see what this one does tomorrow.

I'm finally able to get on and update from my last post....we found out yesterday that we're having a little girl! And, her heart has all 4 chambers!! I was so wrong on the gender, and yet again, my husband was right. The Chinese Calendar was right, but the Intelligender was way off!! It was fun though!! I didn't know I'd be this excited to know that my 'boy' is a girl LOL..but I am stoked!! It took forever to see what she was though because at first her cord was between her legs...of course when she turned on the dopplar you could tell that was the cord then finally she threw her legs up (last minute of course) and there's no doubt! Oliver says he wants a sister though, although if you ask him if he wanted a little brother he'd probably say yes too! Good luck tomorrow!!!

I am due on July 30th and have an amnio on the 19th and was going to ask them to "peek and see" if they could, but we are scheduled for the anatomy U/S on the 23rd. UGH!!! I am a terrible waiter!!!! lol

My ultrasound is on February 25, but there's no guarantee I'll find out that day. A lot of the ultrasound places here won't tell you. You have to wait for your next appointment. I'm hoping that's not so for me because I'm having my done at the hospital.
If THEY don't tell me, I have to wait until March 10 to find out.

I found out at almost 18 weeks that we are having a GIRL! Couldn't be happier about the news :)
Although she was quite the stubborn little one when trying to find out, she kept kicking me during the ultrasound. She was being shy!

I found a fun little at home test from walgreens that runs about 29.99 to 34.00 I think it was. Its called intelligender (their website intelligender.com) Basically its kinda like an at home pregnancy test only for gender, if it turns orange its a girl, or green for a boy. I took one this morning and it said I was having a girl. Now i do take it with a grain of salt, but it has been correct allot of times for other women, so its deffently worth it for the fun, especailly if your super anxiouse like me about knowing the gender!

I am getting so desperate to find out. My appointment isnt until 3rd March and the wait is driving me crazy. Hopefully this baby is just like its sister who wasnt shy at all. The Dr's exact words were 'Your having a girl and I recommend some etiquette classes, she isnt at all modest!' We laughed so hard, even my husband and I could tell she was a girl. We are happy either way as long as the baby is healthy!

I had my ultrasound Janurary 22nd (I'm due July 6th) and my little one was very modest, wouldnt open the legs. So I am going to try and go in for another ultrasound to see gender. I really want to know, I think it makes it easier to decorate the nursery and buy things =-) I already have a little girl who is 2yrs so It would be awsome to have a boy. Either way tho is great, as long as the baby is healthy!

No there isn't just through ultrasound but you're right they are really fun. Your son sounds like a fighter already! My heart goes out to you guys, my little one has a cold right now and i'm a mess..I can't imagine what you have to go through. I think its good you treat him like you would any other kid =) I think parents often help their kids feel awkward though babying them and then they feel different.

LOL I don't really think there's an accurate way to predict gender, but it sure is fun to toy around with it! He won't ever grow out of it...his left ventricle was too small to support life. Without surgical intervention he would have passed away around a week old, but medicine has come a long way in the past 25 years! He had his first open heart surgery at 4 days old, his second at 6 months old, and has another one coming up shortly. What he has is called Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome or 'Half of a Heart' as some call it. After his first surgery he now has an upper chamber and a lower chamber instead of 2 upper and 2 lower. We don't treat him any different than you would a 'normal' child though, and I think that's why he's doing so well with everything!

Kayla, After your post I looked and found the calendar and just the chart you look at was wrong but then I did one where you enter a ton of information, like what time zone your in and i think that does the conversion to the chinese age. That was actually right on my daughter and says boy this time. We'll see! Thats scary about the heart defect. Is your little guy gonna grow out of it?

Anna- yeah, it's the chinese calendar. It was right with my first, I found one that you put in and it converts everything over to your 'chinese age' and it was in agreement with the others. But if it's wrong, I can promise you I won't be upset about it =P. We still have all of Oliver's things, so we won't have to buy anything new which would be super nice!! I think that's the only reason I'm hoping for another boy honestly!! I really don't care what the gender is though as long as it's heart is healthy! Oliver has a complex Congenital Heart Defect and there's a slight chance of a repeat heart defect this time around.

im 18 weeks today but we go to the dr on the 19th of feb and should find out then as long as we dont have a shy baby:) only 2 weeks from tomorrow!!!
