Boy or Girl- Are you hoping for a specific gender?

My husband really wanted a girl with our first and we had a girl. With our second, he said he didn't care but we both knew from the beginning it was a boy. By baby number 3, we didn't really care and we got our second boy. This is baby number 4 and we think it's a girl. Honestly, neither of us cares either way because we literally have everything we need for either a boy or a girl.

This is my first and my bf really wants a boy (not many guys dont) and personally i'd rather have a girl first. most of the people i know have girls, so getting clothes and stuff would be easier if the baby is a girl...plus like many of you have said girl stuff is just so cute...but i definately have a feeling this one is a boy...i guess i'll see in about 10 weeks or so

We have a daughter (who is a total handful) so we are hoping for a boy but will definately be happy either way as long as its healthy. I find it funny that a lot of people have said they'd like the same gender as their previous child so they dont have to buy much...I really want a boy so I can go shopping again and buy new clothes!!!



This pregnancy is the complete opposite of my last. With my daughter I had no signs of being pregnant...no illness, no sore boobs, no dizziness or changes in appitite. Would have questioned being pregnant had I not started to show. This time round Im sick, exhausted, have dizziness, sore boobs, wont eat a thing for hours and will then empty the house of food. We'll soon find out if the difference equals a boy ;)

It doesn't matter to us...as long as it's healthy. Our son (16 months) has a Congenital Heart Defect as well as a chromosomal abnormality so we're really taking chances!

When I was prego with my girl I couldn't eat hardly anything except fruit and pasta until the 4th or 5th month because I felt so sick.  We can keep our fingers crossed for each other :)

I'm estimating that most of us will find out the genders of our babies sometime in February-March...I guess we'll see if our theories are correct then LOL

Well, this is the last child that we're going to have so I'm really hoping for a girl. In the end, I'd be happy with a girl OR boy, but I'm wishing right now for that girl. :)

I know that each pregnancy is different and that feeling different than last time doesn't mean that I am carrying the opposite gender, but I can't help but wonder if there is any correlation...I'm the opposite of what I experienced last time. My husband and I are both hoping for a little boy. And of course, he says it is a little boy, and I have the feeling it'll be a little girl. So I guess we'll have to wait another 8 weeks to find out! =) But all that matters is, that she/he is healthy!

I already have a beautiful daughter, so we are both hoping for son..but mostly will be happy with a happy healthy baby of course!! I have a feeling I have a boy coming our way.. just like I knew I was having a girl with my first.

LOL isn't that the way life goes? It's a win win though because if you have a girl you won't have to buy new stuff other than diapers and if you have a boy you get what you wanted the first time around:)

We've got a little boy already, so I agree it would be nice not to buy new clothes (but oh, girl clothes are so damn cute!), but no, we're not hoping for one over the other. Like my son, we won't be finding out what the baby is, so if I do need girl clothes, I'm going to have a blast doing the shopping once she's born!

With my daughter I really wanted a boy. But my girl is the best in the world & I am so comfortable now with baby girls, so I'd like a girl. My husband would also like a girl too. We have a girl dog & he just loves all his girls. But either way we will be very happy to have a healthy happy baby.

My fiance wants a boy to so thats the only reason Im really hoping its a boy I dont want to disapoint him. We already have a 20 month old daughter. But me personally I woudlnt mind either way. It took us a while to conceive both times so just a healthy baby would be all Id ask for
