I'm kind of curious, is it just me or is it VERY annoying when people ask "Boy or Girl" when it couldn't be any more obvious? I just get o annoyed!

All 3 of my boys have eyelashs that any women would die for and they alway got mistaken for girls. My youngest has very light coloured hair (and not much of it) but we always get oh she is such a sweetie...Yes HE is, thank you

i don't get annoyed, i get INSULTED lol.
my son doesn't look like a girl and from the way he is dressed it should be obvious hes a boy!
but usually i get asked that by older people, so i try to just shrug it off.

I had that happen to me a couple months ago with my new daughter. We were at the post office and an older lady asked my older daughter if that was her little brother .... might I add my youngest daughter was in a pink carseat, pink flowered shirt, pink hat, pink flowered blanket ..... I think the answer was obvious. If you are going to guess the sex of a baby , at least use common sense and choose the sex that corresponds with the colors the baby is wearing. I could understand someone I had a daughter if I put a baby boy in all pink, lol

But then again ive made the mistake myself with others i guess its karma haha but it was Halloween and the little girl was dressed as a turkey sooo cute!! and they were across the street and it was dark!! lol well i yelled he is so cute!!! haha oops. and also this little girl was dressed in dark blue i couldnt tell!!

i think my baby looks very much like a girl but i try and see it from anothers eyes like if i didnt kno she was a girl but i still cant see how she doesnt haha

Omg goodness!! Hell yes! ( excuse my language haha) but seriously i went to the store the other day and was holding my baby had her all dressed in pink and lime green with little flowers everywhere. And three people asked me if she was a boy or girl???!!! ( i dont remember if i did her hair or not but still!!!) And they all asked after i informed that she was a beautiful little girl when was i gonna get her ears pierced!!!

LOL! Natasha, i have to agree with you there! If i see a cute baby i don't feel it necessary to talk to it or the parents or any of that. If i'm out with my family, shopping or whatever i generally do not like people i don't know wanting to conversate or any of that. It is nice sometimes, but i guess that's just me! I understand if the baby is in neutral colors or has both gender sort of colors on, but when it is clearly a boy or a girl it annoys me!

My little boy got mistaken for a girl all the time even when he was covered in blue. Now my girl gets mistaken for a boy even when she's surrounded in pink.

I guess I don't think it is a big deal. However, I always try and not guess when I am looking at a cute baby. I just say oh! cute baby!

i went to the Navy Exchange the other day and my daughter was in a completely pink stroller and carseat, pink shirt, pink pants with a pink baby doll and a pink and brown bow and this lady walks up and starts talking about how cute a boy she was! i kept saying "she" and calling her Tabitha over and over. i swear i said it like 20 times, but she just wouldn't get it through her thick skull!! arrggghhhh

i agree it is VERY annoying when someone cant figure out if its a boy or girl when it is obvious by what they are wearing...however I did it to a mother when I saw the baby wearing a blue sleeper but had a pink pacifier!!! what to do , how would we know boy or girl?? so I asked and she told me girl...i then explain its cause I wasnt sure and I didnt want to insult her by making a guess. blue sleeper (obviously older brother) could mean boy but pink pacifier (could of been desperate for one) could mean girl.....lol hope this made you laugh a little. Seriously some people are just afraid to make the wrong assumption :)

Yes, it's very annoying. Even if a child is wearing all blue, hey maybe mom doesn't like pink for girls? hah. But thankfully, no one really has asked about my little one, I think you can tell he's all boy.

couldn't be any worse than your doctor having her on record as a boy through 2 visits, dressed in all pink, and seeing her naked. it wasn't until the third visit they finally changed it.

I'd rather them ask than just assume! We took our daughter to the grocery store with us, dressed in an outfit of our favorite NHL team. One employee came to look at her and said 'Hey buddy' and another said 'He sure is cute.' If you don't know - ask!!! LOL

Yes! I know, my baby girl barely has any hair... but there we are her stroller and car-seat are pink and black... and she has a purple blanket over her and probably something girly on as well and they ask that question.

It's like... "Are you blind?"!

I'm glad i'm not the only one! I ALWAYS have my daughter in all pink or purple and she just about always has a bow in her hair and someone said "SO beautiful! Boy or girl?" and i wasn't nice either i said "GIRL, would you put YOUR son in all pink?!" I found my response pretty funny, but i don't think she did! It just gets to irritating!
