I am due July 23rd, 2010 and I am still getting very very sick at random times during the day! I have done everything to try and prevent this or make symptoms better but nothing seems to really work. I am careful with what I eat, I take zofran for nausea , I get plenty of sleep most nights, I drink plenty of fluids, I stopped taking pre-natals and went to flintstone vitiams as instructed by my doctor but nothing seems to cut it out! I was expecting it to go away or at least let up some after my first trimester but its not really any better and I know every pregnancy is different and all women experience different pregnancy issues but I was just wandering if anyone else is going through the same thing and if maybe they have any suggestions !

I thought it was just me! I am due July 22 and still get sick daily. I wish I was lucky enough to not be gaining weight thanks to being sick, but no, I get to be sick and still gain weight, lol. It's frustrating cause everyone tells you morning sickness goes away after the first trimester. Not the case for everyone! I have found that for me, the only things that helps are simple, starchy foods, like potatoes and rice, and lots of water. Good luck and hang in there!

I still experience naseau at random times. It can get annoying, but maybe you're experiencing some heartburn. try some tums and see how that does.

Were you ever diagnosed with hyperemesis? Constant nausea and vomiting? I take b6 and unisom this pregnancy 3x a day... I was on zofran and reglan previous pregnancies.

Also have you cut caffeine out of your diet? I realized that is what was making me so sick also eggs did it in the beginning, But I am now ok with eating them. Try a higher carbs diet for some reason that helps too! I have also heard of the ginger root tea but never tried it. Good luck I hope you figure out what it is. I kept a food diary to figure out what was causing mine and when I eliminated it I felt so much better. It might take a bit to figure out what is making you sick but in the end it will so be worth it.

Vitamin B complex worked wonders for me. You can just get Vitamin B 12 if you would prefer but I used the B complex. It is completely safe and you can google it to learn more.

Had you tried taking your vitamins RIGHT before you go to bed? That's what I do and I'm generally asleep before the effects hit.

Also, try carrying saltines around with you and don't drink while eating, because this can cause you to become sick.

There are some herbal teas that you can drink, but make sure to ask about them because not all herbal teas are good for pregnant women.

Ginger root tea is great for stomach upset.

Anything very acidic may trigger stomach upset.

Hopefully it subsides for you. Has your doctor not offered you any form of relief, such as pills?
