Sucking on tongue/lips

I do not remember my other babies doing this and wonder if it is normal for an infant to suck a lot on their lower lip and tongue. My little one just started this about a month ago and while I think it is both funny and cute I also wonder if it's something I should be concerned about. He doesn't tongue-thrust and nurses just fine so I'm not worried about tongue issues.

I wouldn't worry to much about it as my son will suck on his lower lip all the time and he has done this since birth

nope...just a sign that your child will have an oral fixation...I did it and so far only one of mine has done it. when he gets bigger watch out for barbie shoes, legos, and small chewy things...even at 8 my brother would put everything in his mouth.

my son does the same, he doesnt take a dummy and I try and keep his thumb out of his mouth so I guess this is his last resort...it is very cute to watch.
