I am now onto my 3rd formula which in Heinz nurture, I tried s26 gold and normal and it seems to give my baby stomach cramps, I then tried karicare both gold an normal and that would just go straight thru my lil gal, so now im using Heinz which seems to be ok but its not keeping her full for very long....

Any parents had the same issue where they have had to change formula???? and what did u change to? What's the best baby formula you've found?

Thanks

I used Similac, mainly because I knew nothing about formula. I breastfed my daughter and I had to stop at 3 months with my son due to medical complications. The Hospital used Similac so I figured it must be good. However, I have done tons of research now and know any kind is good, since they all have to meet the same standards. However, if I ever had to do it again, I would probably still use Similac, just because I have used it before and my son did great going from breast to Similac....

my baby is 2 months old now.. i gave birth thru CS and doc gave my baby S26 infant formula.. after two days, i breastfed her but her stool became loose and greeny.. doc recommended S26 lactose free.. it made her stool as hard as stone and she was bloating with much gas.. i fed her back with s26 just to observe... her stool went back to smooth but greenish. i tried mixing her milk, the lactose free and the infant formula, she was then constipated and bloating! thought it was normal but after reading your comments, its found to be a problem.. i never mentioned this to her pedia coz i thought it is normal.. yesterday, i bought s26 gold (sucrose free) and i gave her the first bottle this evening.. i'll observe then if she's okay with the new formula.. if not, maybe i'll try another brand..

I've used Good Start by Nestle since I switched from Breast milk and my daughter loves it. Check out their website and read up on it! I think they send free samples as well www.nestle-baby.ca
Good luck!

We use similac for fussiness and gas. She does GREAT with it! Everything else made her spit up alot so this one has been a life saver. Good luck.

We started with regular good start but she had bad constapation so I switched to good start pro biotic cuz pro biotics keep the digestive tract healthy and it works really well for her

[deleted account]

Why do u say its not keepin her full ?? maybe ur not feeding her enough? simple solution give her more! as for me i did similac advance after i stopped BF cuz the Hospital gave us a sample but since the recall i changed completly to Enfamil Premium Lipil which they renamed to Enfamil Premium Infant. She loves it and i read that its the closest to Breast milk u can get.

I have tried several different kinds myself. I find that the Heinz is good, but the Similac is much better. I find it keeps her full longer, it has a longer life, and it mixes much nicer. I have also tried enfomil and I did not like that one at all.

When my daughter was born we started with Enfamil with iron because that's what we were told to buy and she threw up a lot on it. So we switched to the Heinz and she was able to keep it down but she became extremely constipated! So now we're using Enfamil A+ liquid concentrated and she's amazing on it. It flushed out her system and she sleeps really well too.

We use similac sensitive mostly because it digested similar to breastmilk. I had to stop breastfeeding and that one worked wonders. But just try new things every baby is different. Just ease into it because a major switch could be making the problem worse.

all comments sound great - i am breastfeeding my 10wk old but with my other kids i used S26 gold and she was fine - how old is ur baby??? babies can tend to drink different amounts - give extra 60ml to 125ml test to see wat amount works - and if ova 3months bit of solid will fill up with formula - good luck :):)

I use similac advance liquid. I was using powder until the recall. I am going to keep her on the liquid because she spits up less and it doesn't seem to give her belly aches.

My sister had a problem where she had to go through formulas also. But she always stuck to different kinds of Similac, and they always seemed to work really really well. So, when my daughter was born, I went straight to Similac. She's on the Similac Sensitive for Fussiness and Gas now, and she does amazing with it.

We tried Similac (all different kinds) and Emfamil (all the kinds) to find something my son would tolerate but nothing worked. We had to end breast feeding bc he was unbelievably uncomfortable and gassy from it (I live on milk and dairy though). Finally, we bought a can of Target brand soy based formula and he took to it completely. His father is lactose intolerant but I was told by the ped that it was too early for him to develop this issue so idk. The other brands of soy didn't sit well but thankfully Target brand did. I love that it is a ton cheaper!

Hi - we use Neocate. We have a preemie and it's very easy for him to digest. It's super expensive though - cheapest way to buy it is on neocate.com. Good luck!

Two years ago with my b/g twins we went through several different formulas because they were spitting up so much. We started with the regular Enfamil, and then tried the soy stuff to see if they were lactose, and then the gentle ease which just ran out like water when they spit up. We finally settled on Enfamil AR which worked wonders for them. They still spit up but it wasn't any were near as frequently as they did with any of the other formulas.

So far with my two month old son we use the Enfamil Premium and and Enfamil Restful and he seems to be doing well with those.

Good start, it is supposed to be the gentlest on their tummies. I had the same problem with my first I went through a string of different formulas, good start worked great for him and we have used it with our last two as well with no problems.
