My little man is 11 months and still not sleeping through the night. The last couple of nights he has and I'm hoping this will continue but most of the time he is up at least twice.. How are your kids with this? When did they start sleeping through?

My sons are now both good sleepers, in that they sleep through the night without waking. They are not, however, long sleepers, sleeping 10 hours at the most. Doesn't matter what we do. When I see how long some other children sleep, I do get a wee bit jealous ;)

my son's bedtime is around 7 sometimes earlier depending on when he woke from last nap and he wakes lately anywhere from 630-9 he will go a week or so with sleeping thru the night but then will go a week or so with waking up usually once for a bottle. tried letting him cry it out but he gets so hungry he cant sleep. dont know why because i give him dinner at 5 and then a small bottle around 6-630 to top him off. the doctor said it was normal since he started walking and using more of his food for that and all. so maybe its because of developmental things or just hunger

My little one is still not 100% through the night yet! On avg, she wakes up twice. Onceeeeeee in a blue moon she will sleep all night, until about 630 am, but thats usually after a veryyy long week of activities! My oldest didnt sleep through the night until she was 2!

Since about 2 months old my DD would sleep 10-12 hours without waking, but the hard part was actually getting her to sleep. She would howl and scream whether I laid her down awake or asleep, and I ended up having to pat her butt until she calmed. Sometimes this would be nearly an hour of continually comforting her. Some days she still struggles to go to sleep, and others she doesn't even cry. She wakes up once or twice at night to whine, but I don't go get her because she's asleep within 5 minutes. I hope that your little one will keep up the good sleep for you!

Thanks Tracy! He has in fact started sleeping through more. I stopped breast feeding him because he was biting me and since then he hasn't been waking up.. Little monkeys really know how to work the system eh?

My little guy was a horrible sleeper. In January, he was waking up every hour, on the hour. I was back to work and it was so hard!!! We decided that we needed to ease him out of the frequent wakings and started by having my husband go in half of the time. That way he knew he wasn't going to get any food. The first few days were brutal - He would scream and scream! The only comforting part of it was that I knew my husband was there holding and comforting him. It was easier than the attempts we had made at letting him cry it out on his own.

After a couple weeks of this we had him down to two wake-ups a night. (So much better than the 10-12 he was doing!) At that point, I stopped going in at all, and gradually my hubby let him whine longer and longer, until he realized he wouldn't be getting fed and just put himself back to sleep. Now he sleeps through the night no problem :)

I don't know if that strategy would help you or not, but I thought I'd share. Has he gotten any better on his own?
