My daughter will be two in June 11th and we are expecting baby #2 June 30th. I need to get a double stroller but need recommendations. My daughter is a peanut (still only about 21lbs) but very active. What should I get? Side by sides might have trouble getting through doors. Sit and stands look good but then the older one won't have the option of lying back. I afraid my daughter might outgrow a tandum. What should I do!?

I have a Joovy my son was 2 1/2 when I bought it and he has always done pretty good in it. He was past taking naps by then so I didn't have to worry about him falling asleep in it though.

we got our stroller and so far i love it! definitely going to take up our entire trunk, but thats not hard to do either! the back seat, where the older kid sits, folds down pretty far and seems to be comfortable! my daughter has spent a lot of time climbing in it and playing! it steers very easily, even with one hand, and its a lot taller then i thought it would be too! my hubby is happy about that bc now he doesnt have to hunch over to push it! i didnt know, until i put it together, that the basket at the bottom folds down to make it easier to grab things as well! i LOVE this stroller!

My son will be 2 April 3rd and I am due with baby#2 June 3rd...I am having the same dilema...My lil guy is is 24lbs and still naps in stroller so want a double that reclines. I have a small trunk so folding size is an issue. I was also considering a side-by-side til I heard that doorways and aisles are the least of your problem. Try loading two kids in a car with a side-by-side...It won't fit between cars so one child is left behind your car while you are in car trying to strap/unstrap your other child...that was a HUGE problem for me. I think I am going to cough up the $$$ and get a Baby Jogger City Select. Did a test drive and it did great! Phil & Teds look great but bottom baby gets hit with diaper bag and basket is pretty small. Check out the City Select...I think it will be worth the extra cash just because its compact folding fits my snug car and the seats can go all sorts of ways! Good Luck!

i did the store bit but the stores around me only carry maybe 2 or 3 types of double strollers and i wasnt impressed! i went to amazon.com and read reviews on eveything and chose from there. it also had free shipping on it and a very good return policy so there wont be any stress if i have to take it back!

If you can, go to a store and have your daughter sit in the strollers - most stores that sell multiple strollers have displays that you're able to try out, push around a lil bit to see if they're comfortable, etc. Then you can get a real idea of what kind of stroller will work for you.

Also, have you thought of using a sling/baby carrier for your infant and just a regular stroller for your 2 year old?
