Feeling baby move??

I have been feeling baby move since I was about 16-17 weeks... With my last one I felt her move much earlier as well... But this baby is a lot different than my last 2... I am a lot like you are Jamie with my beginning weight being quite a bit more than with my last one but I have also been very sick with this baby as apposed to the last 2 times I have been pregnant... I have had the flu 3 times this year and so I think that that has had some effect on my feeling this baby move... I feel a little funny saying "it" because this is our last baby and we have decided not to find out what this baby is but I guess I can't say him/her because we don't know... I wouldn't worry each baby is different and grows at a different rate so don't worry... My first baby didn't move as much as my second and this baby is not moving as much as my last... Hope this helps...

This is my First pregnancy. I first felt butterflies at about 19 weeks. They became way more noticeable, I want to say at about 21 weeks... now, I get kicked and punched all night while trying to sleep and while I'm working :) I love it! haha

i went to the doctor today to mainly find out why i was so lethargic and dizzy all the time (so much that i had to be sent home from work two days in this past week, including today) and also to check on baby. all my blood work came back perfect as usual so they said it was all normal. which kind of sucks since i didn't have dizziness and lethargy with my first, but "every pregnancy is different" yeah yeah, lol.



but it was funny, they were using the monitor to check baby's heart rate and she'd get it positioned just right, and baby would wiggle away. she'd move it again, get a beat, and baby'd move again. but we finally got a good heart beat. unfortunately i still haven't felt anything but at least i know baby's moving around in there. i just can't feel him or her yet :( makes me a bit sad...

I have felt my baby move for about a month now. It's getting stronger and stronger everyday! But before I could feel it, I purchased a doppler and when ever I was unsure, I just put that on my belly and I could hear my baby kicking away!

Im currently 17 weeks with my second child, i felt this one move way before i felt my first baby move. i started feeling #2 at about 16weeks and i didnt feel #1 untill i was almost 21weeks... every woman and pregancy is different

I'm 16 weeks along and I'm CONVINCED I've been feeling this one exploring in-utero territory for 2-3 weeks. Gas doesn't happen where I've been feeling it.



My son was active, so he was all over the place, but I felt my daughter move around 16 weeks.



If it makes you nervous, call and ask your doctor if you can get into your ultrasound sooner than the 13th, unless they're really busy I don't see a problem with moving it up, most of 'em are done between 18 and 22 weeks anyway.

yeah our system is bull. but i'm hoping hubby and i can make our way up the financial food chain so we don't have to have much to do with the system anymore. i'm ready to hear baby's heart beat. the doctor had a little trouble finding it last time but baby had moved higher up but was still going strong a couple weeks ago so unless something changed drastically it should be okay.



and i just liked your page n.n

Well you should still be able to hear the heartbeat at that checkup then right? So thats something positive.

yes, and i don't have insurance so i have to do it through the health department and February was the earliest they could schedule me since they have to go through another facility. my next prenatal appointment is the 30th so another week or so and i can ask questions about everything.

Can you not get an ultrasound earlier? I know If I went to the doctor tomorrow I'd come out with a slip in hand and be booked in for an ultrasound Monday. But I am in Australia, I'm assuming you're American?

my first pregnancy was a breeze but this one is proving to be a bit more complicated. the doctor seemed surprised at how strong baby's heart beat was at 10wks, and all my blood tests came back perfect, so that's a plus, but i'm almost scared to see the ultrasound. i got to see my first baby at 11wks, and she was bouncing around like a little jumping bean. i wish i could have seen this one earlier. it still seems so far away. i want to make sure everything is intact and working and that nothing is wrong. i think i will bring it up at my next appointment before the ultrasound. no bad genes on either side of the family so if something's wrong it's either because i'm RH- and baby isn't or i'm not doing something right...

Don't you wish you had X-Ray vision! I get so paranoid when I don't feel the baby move for half a day, with my first it really did my head in, this one I'm a little more relaxed but still, I like feeling that movement for the reassurance.



This pregnancy has been SO much nicer to me I made the Doctor give me a ref to get an ultrasound so I could make sure the baby really was ok (this was at about 12 weeks), so I totally understand you fears.



But trust yourself and listen to yourself, you would know if something was wrong, you'd feel it. Tell your mind to take it's fear mongering and shove it :)

I've started feeling her move already, started at about 16 weeks.



But I've seen around CoM's it's not unusual to feel the baby a lot later the second time around with a lot of women not feeling movement until around 22 weeks.



I have a friend who has an anterior placenta, so she hasn't felt her baby at all, and she's about 34 weeks now.



I'd bet the fluttering are the baby, he or she is just a lot gentler than your daughter :)
