When do babies start teething and what are the signs of teething? Think my 5 month old boy is starting to teeth.

Every child is different but all 3 of mine started around 8 weeks and cut there first ones by 6 months. My youngest isnt 6 months yet and cut her first At almost 4 months and 2 nd a week later. Like all the mums have said drooling, putting everything into mouth, fuzzy and irritable like nothing you do helps them. Lots Of cuddles and kisses needed. Use the rings as much as possible. Good luck :)

My 5 month old son has 2 teeth already - they came in at 3 months! My daughter cut her first tooth at 5 months, so it's likely that your son could be starting to teeth too.
The signs include lots of chewing and drooling, frequent breastfeeding, grizzlyness and being out of sorts, touching and rubbing gums and even ears, chewing their fingers, and sometimes yucky odd smelling poo and even a bit of fever.
The hard part of teething is that these symptoms and others can go on for weeks and weeks before a tooth actually comes through the gums. I found that my kids have both cut their first tooth or two without much fuss, then after that some have been hard and others easier.
The things that have definately helped my kids with teething are;
Teething necklace made of baltic amber. You csan get them online, I got mine from amberbebe.com
Weleda Teething Powder
Homeopathics, particularly Cham, Lach (helps them relax and sleep) and tissue salts.
I've given my daughter pain relief when her awful molars were coming through though!

Babies can start teething as soon as 2 months till as late as 8 months....

My son is almost 6 months and has been teething since he turned 5 months....and still no teeth!

Sign of teething are:

Loads of drooling

He will put everything in his mouth

Gums swollen and red

Lots of irritation in his mouth

Lost of appetite

Cranky

Disrupted sleep patterns

Mouth rash near his mouth and lips

Ear infection

And lots of times u will see the baby touching his ear

Fever

Extra clingy

Hope I was of some kind of help...

Best of luck..but teething is painful procedure for both the child and the parents

Teething can last for months before your baby even gets a tooth, so it's definitely possible.

My Ellery must have started teething around 3 months. She was fussy, drooling, chewing on everything..both hands at the same time. About a week before she turned 5 months, her first bottom tooth started breaking through her gums. Now a little over 5 months, she has two itty bitty teeth coming up. So, ages really vary. They generally say between 3-6 months they will start exhibiting signs of teething.

between 6-8 mths but my son has been teething since he was 2 months. no teeth have popped yet but it may be happening soon. i say by 6mths one should pop. He is 5 mths now. signs of teething are lots and lots of drool and lots and lots of chewing things. some run slight fevers irritalbe ear ache or pulling. These are according to the local health unit and dental hygenist. try not to depend on the oragel. let them chew on teething rings do not put them in freezer just fridge. cold cloth works too

Usually babies have a few signs such as wanting to chew on things, gums are warm or rediish and a little swollen, drooling heaps, not sleeping as well, moody or clingy can go off there feeds, sometime they get runny poos or nappy rash. They can all, one, none of these signs when the are teething and it can lasts for weeks or days before you see a tooth but other times you might look and see one. My daughter started the heavy drooling when she was like 8 weeks but didnt cut a tooth til she was like nine months!!!! Just give them cold, not frozen, teething rings, cold face washers to suck on and have in there mouth. If they are in alot of pain give them some pain relief but I always tried to save that for sleep time if needed. And be ready for lots of cuddles and kisses cause there can be days when they dont want anything but you.
