Ok, I know this has been done on some of the other boards, but thought it mite b fun.

Also was it a natural delivery or did you need assistance?

I'll start it off, Dylan was 9lb 4 1/2oz, and that 1/2oz really matters to me lol! And i had a ventouse delivery.

Also how long were you in hospital for cos i wanna see if it varies around the world?

I was let out the next day after I discharged myself.

My first daughter was 7lbs 11 oz. I was in labor for 8 hours and did it all natural. I was in the hospital for 3 days. I had to stay an extra day because my milk did not come in and they wouldn't let me leave until it did.

My second daughter was 8lbs 2 oz, 7 hour labor after being induced. I again did it all naturally. I had to stay longer again because of some medical issues. After 3 days I went home but if I didn't have any issues I would have been able to leave after 1 night in the hospital.

My daughter was 6lbs even, I was in labor for 18hrs not sure how long I pushed or how long she was (had her in 2007). My son was 7lbs 11oz , 22hrs of labor pushed for an hr then had a c-section. Wish I would've just had the csection to begin with.

Hello my son was 7lbs 3oz and around 20 in long. I was 10 hours.

Our stay in the hospital was over night. (it felt like forever since he was born at 10:00 AM)

We did however end up haveing to go back to the hospital the next day due to jaundice. We were there for 2 days, and got out of the hospital on Christmas eve.

My little boy weighed 8 pounds and was 21 inches long. He is my first and I was in labour for six hours. I had a epidural and i needed a vacum near the end because he got stuck lol. I still remember the look on my boyfriend's face when he was asked to cut the cord, he was worried he would do it wrong :) Now he is 5 months and 3 weeks and weighs 21 pounds and is 28 inches.

My son Gabriel was 7lbs even! It was one hellish experience getting him into the world. Gabe was out of me 4 hrs after my first contraction. 5 minutes after my first contraction my water broke, in the 10 minutes it took to get to the hospital i was 5.5cm dialated. The local hospital has only ONE O.R. and when they decided I should probably have a C-section one of the nurses came back and said the O.R. was just used and there was no way we could get in for an hour! they could have called the helicopter to come get me and take me to the big hospital 20 minutes away but even that was too long. My son was sitting in a way that he couldn't breath very well....Assistance seems very pleasant comapred to what happened next. They cut me....ohhh they cut me a lot. Then they cut my cervix apart, because scar tissue was keeping it closede on him. THEN they brought out the BIG forcepts...then i stared to rip even more. I had to get 25 stiches in all just to put me back together after. That's my "magical birthing experience". They didn't release me for 3 and a half days. I was practically crawling out of my skin to get home by then. "To Hell with hospitals! I'm NEVER coming back!"

I went into a very, Very slow labour 2 weeks before i actually gave birth. I had a stretch and sweep at 38 weeks. They were attempting to induce me so they could try and ease my gallstone attacks and get rid of the useless thing. When i went in i was 3cms dilated. My slow labour carried on for another week. Theo turned back to back about 5 days before and the drs ignored me. Joy lol. I had pethidine at 7cms. After that the midwive broke my waters. When i finally got to the pushing stage he was stuck for 40 minutes because of being back to back. Eventually he shifted a little and he was delivered in 9 minutes. 2 weeks 16 hours and 9 minutes. Theo was 7lb6. I went home 2 days later with a undetected womb infection. Thank you Nhs. So worth all the pain!

My son was born at 36 weeks and still was 7 pounds 5 ounces. He was projected to be 10 pounds if born at 40 weeks. I had a vaginal delivery with epidural. I tore pretty bad took 45 minutes to stich me up. We were in the hospital 3 days...cuz my baby had a hematoma, minor breathing issues, & pretty bad jaundice, and I my tearing was so bad.

I live in Kansas by the way.

Kai was 6 pounds, 10 ounces and I had him vaginally. They had to give me Pitocin because my water broke and I wasn't progressing and I almost got an epidural but had always wanted to do a natural birth. They actually ended up getting me ready for an epi putting a spinal catheter in and everything, then they said "Ok before we actually start the epidural flow let's check to see where you are." Sure enough I was 10 centimeters and ready to push, so I went through all the placement for nothing! Overall I'm glad I went naturally as that was my original birth plan though I wish I could have done without the Pitocin, that made it much more miserable.

I was discharged after 5 days only because Kai had a bad case of jaundice and the military hospital I was in allowed me to stay there in the hospital with him until we both could check out together :oD

Labor was 13 hours from the time of my water breaking to the time he was born, and though there was pain through the labor I thought the delivery itself went relatively pain free until I got snipped (remember Kai was small)! Kai was up-side-down so every time I relaxed he would slip back in and the Mid-wife had to snip so she could reach in and grab him to keep him from slipping back in as his HR was dipping. He had trouble breathing the first few minutes of life but other than the pitocin, three snips to my perineum (hubby says I cussed her out when she did that, I don't remember) and the sewing back up I would definitely do it again!

hi ladies.
i had my son over three years ago now but remember it well. i was enduced three weeks early because my son quit moving. i was enduced in the afternoon and was told to come back the next morning for some more gel, i didnt have to go back in the morning because at about midnight my water broke and i went into labour. when we got to the hospital it took us forever to get inside because it was after hours and the emergency doors were not working proparly. this was the end of Feb so it was cold outside and it seems thats what i remember the most lol
anyways my son weighed 8 punds 3 and was 21 inches long. i was in labour for about 7.5 hours and i did have an epidural because things were not progressing and i was in alot of pain although it seemed as soon as i received the epi i prgressed to 10 and started pushing (funny how that works i guess lol).
i hemerage really bad and had to get alot of stiches so we were in the hospital for about 4 days, also my son lots over 2.5 pounds in the hospital so they wanted to make sure everything was ok with him. overall it was a good exprerience and would definately do it again.

Wow after reading some of these posts I feel like such a wimp! Well lets see I had my little girl on May 24, 2008. She weighed 6 pounds 2.9 ounces and was 19 inches long. She was my first and I was in labor for 13 hours, which I hear is good. I was in labor for 11 hours before I got an epidural. I tried to do it drug free but she was on her side and wouldn't turn for us. But after the epidural and them turning her I was on the golden road bc I felt nothing. So yeah my daughter was little compared to many of these drug free births I read above! Wow girls!
